I had a mission to deliver something to my son at the camp where he is going to work as a camp counselor all summer. It’s about 10 miles away, so I decided it would be the perfect bike ride.
The route is beautiful and allowed me to mostly ride on a great trail. It took me past two schools, with busy ball fields, past ponds full of ducks, geese and frogs, past small towns, lakes, boats and too many other things to name.
Here’s the trail. It’s a long, lovely canopy of green this time of year.
Here’s the lake and some boats (You’ll see several of them again at sunset on the ride back.)
Look at this fun area for sitting and watching boats!
I didn’t stop a ton because I needed to make sure I could get out and back before dark. But I did stop for an occasional snap. Couldn’t pass up this cool mural.
At last I arrived at camp. It was good to see my son, even though he has only been there for a few days!
Okay I delivered the package. Time to head back. And this time the sun was setting, creating some stunning colors on the lake.
Thank you for visiting! And a great big shout-out to @tattoodjay, host of wednesdaywalk, and @elizacheng, host of #makemesmile. They make a great team! Be sure to check out their blogs. And consider participating each week!

Some lovely landscapes ... and those sunset photo's are beautiful.
What exactly is a 'muskkellunge'? I assume a type of fish???
Yes, it's a freshwater fish that can grow pretty big. You might have heard of "muskies." That's the short version. They're related to the pike. Everyone loves to catch muskies in the Minnesota lakes!
i know 'pike' and have indeed heard of 'muskies'... i take it they are edible if persons want to catch them
So thoughtful of you to have stopped by to take lovely pictures to feed our eyes 🤗
Thank you! I do love to take photos when I'm out walking or biking!

Wonderful photos, especially that mural, which is so cool. It looks like you guys had a very fun and interesting cycle.
Yes, I had a great ride. (I was riding solo, but got to see my son at the half-way point before turning back around and riding home!)
Great to see you, @ablaze!
Excellent, you're son is full of smiles like his Mama! 😁😁

I recently discovered how fun bike rides can be and I slowly started to prefer them more over the usual walks ☺️ you managed to capture lots of beautiful landscapes with that sunset in the background!
Thanks for stopping by, @gabrielatravels. I've always loved biking. It's so peaceful. Especially if you have good trails to ride.
