I have photo's not posted, sad when destroyed looking good before big wind.

Moon captures sometimes I don't take my camera out during the night, still enjoy irrespective it's all in memory bank.

I agree that destruction is always so sad to see. We have not been back to the nature reserves since the last visit, as all of the beautiful varieties of Protea bushes were wiped out.
It will take a few years for them to be fully restored again,

Ha! My camera sits right next to me here and it goes to sleep when I go to sleep. My memory bank is a bit confussed lately 😛

Too many fires of late wiping out nature, hopefully it does grow back to former glory.

Small green shoots of grass have already started all over, but the protea trunks and the small trees stand like black sentinels to remind one of the destruction.

Hahaha, and that wall is totally blank!
So embarrassing when I run into somebody and I have forgotten their name. So I got clever and wrote everyone's name in a small diary. Then I forgot where I put the diary and so gave it up as a bad idea.

Wind is blowing already brown lawn into sand patches, nature will heal once rains arrive again, hopefully no more fires down your way!

When I remember names sometimes I cannot pronounce, have pet names for young ones and had to use at memorial service last week. Never been good with names, numbers yes those stick.... well used to!

Ah, and that sand patches are always an eye sore. Nowadays people install artificial lawns that is even more of an eyesore. A small section of the back garden here was also covered in the stuff, but thankfully I brought our wooden outdoor blocks when we moved here. Amazingly just enough to cover the lawn and turn it into a deck.

I am good with pet nicknames but not pet names for people, so I just call everyone "friend". Such as, how are you my friend when somebody greets me :)

Wood deck still allows water to soak through unlike fake lawn that soars the soil underneath, good idea keeping wooden blocks for repurposing.

The amazing thing was that I had enough to cover the whole area, plus 4 left over to spare.
Unfortunately we left a heap of our river rocks behind and now I will have to find some others.
