Wednesday Walk, an impromptu and random one

I was having a pretty hectic week so far due to the nature of teaching and guiding students to organise a PR Campaign, then today was audit day for our programme. Once the audit was done and I was packing up to head home, my dear friend @happycrazycon and I was just chatting like we always do almost every day, and said that she plans to go to the park and exercise. Immediately, I jumped and said, I would like to go too. My husband was also coincidently heading to the gym when I texted him if he wanted to join us. So, it was off to one of Kuala Lumpur's parks in the city called Taman Tasik Titiwangsa.

So, it was Connie, her two adorable sons, my husband, and me. We decided to complete one round. My husband went off on his own to do his usual 3-kilometer run before joining us on our breeze walk. I did a slow jog as well more than I expected to do with Levi, Connie's eldest son jogging alongside me the whole time. I was pleasantly surprised that Levi wanted to join me on this jog which was quite a long one for an 8-year-old boy who isn't very sporty. He listened to me when I guided him on how to control his jog and breathing.

Halfway through, I told him he can take his time as he was saying "can we slow down now, my legs are tired" and walk slowly with my husband and his mom. Then I went off and did my own jog at my usual pace. While running, suddenly I heard "waittt Aunty Jo!!" then I looked back and saw Levi running after me at full speed. He decided to join me on his own again.

So, off we went and completed the round. We did it! It was a lovely day with blue skies, after many days of rain in the evening. Here are some photos of us this evening:

The entrance to the park

The iconic water fountain feature of this park

People paddleboarding. I wish I could join them! I love water activity and this looks fun!

More paddleboarding.

Always love a sunset. For whatever reason, sunsets are just very calming and it reminds me of something Higher and Greater.

I noticed these nets on the lake and I figured they play water polo here as well. Interesting! I would like to see it one day.

Here's @happycrazycon together with her 2 lovely boys enjoying the evening together.

Micah boy, the cute and very adorable one.

Micah enjoying his run but always looks behind to hurry his mom who is always busy taking photos! haha

This is us running back after our first stretch of jog together, we were running back to Connie hence her taking this shot of us

Levi made it! He did a good job

It was such a lovely evening that people were enjoying themselves having a picnic

There's some upgrading going on and I can't wait to see it completed

It's been a while since I went for a #WednesdayWalk and I am grateful for opportunities like this to be able to head outdoors. Hope you had a good day just like I did!
