Where are you guys? Will pick you up and let's go on a road trip to the South! The husband's team leader at work called him. As we approached the car, we saw that it was not only him, but also two of his co-workers. Work is cancelled tomorrow due to the incoming typhoon so we decided to come with you. Don't worry, we're gonna be your bodyguards, driver, photographer, name it. That was so nice of them and we are off to the road!

After a long drive here we are now, approaching Fo Guang Shan Monastery at kaohsiung Taiwan.

Was it worth visiting or included in the itinerary? Let me give a tour for this #Wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay and #makemesmile by @elizacheng then tell me if it is.

and what is this tower for?

As we arrive there are few cars in the parking lot already. The weather might not be that good but not the reason to cancel what is scheduled as I saw some tourist bus.

IMG_20231004_133446.jpg

No, the bus wasn't here but on the other side.

IMG_20231004_133641.jpg

We started walking around the pathway leading to the main attractions. Yep, that men are my companion for today. Just like other tourist spots, it also had a spacious ground and from the entrance going to the museum and temple needs a lot of walking! So, if you are planning to visit Taiwan, it's much better to wear comfortable shoes.

Maybe since they are men, they walk fast and I am always left behind. My legs aren't that long compared to them plus I am taking some photos.

You two stand by this pose (with demonstration) and give me your phone. I will be taking you photos so you can remembrance. Said one of his friends. As someone not used to posing in a camera I find it awkward, lol. Still tried for the sake of documenting our memories.

A nope, I won't show the photos, maybe later. Here we are now almost approaching the museum.

On the left side was a statue of Lions, which symbolizes Buddha's majesty.

The closed up picture.

On the right was a white elephant that represents six perfections.

Inside the museum, displayed different merchandise that maybe I will share next time. There are also a lot of food kiosks. After spending some time checking some products, we walked directly to the exit leading to Buddha temple.

IMG_20231004_134225.jpg

There is a shaded path, covered with canopy in case you want to stay out under the sun. On the other side, the grass was well maintained that somehow could make you feel exhilarating.

IMG_20231004_134527.jpg

Here are some Dinos! It is actually moving and creating sounds to me is realistic.

After which, the long pavement goes to the temple.

IMG_20231004_134303.jpg

The sitting Buddha still looks small in the picture which means it was quite far! Somehow, I was relieved that the weather was not that sunny.
Before reaching off on both sides built this tower like building . There were eight to be exact, four sides each.

IMG_20231004_135037.jpg

I tried to walk closer to check, took some photos but didn't try to get in. I am more interested in walking straight.

IMG_20231004_135503.jpg

Noticed there are overpasses on both sides connected to the temple but haven't seen anyone using it. So, probably it was allowed?

IMG_20231004_134930.jpg

Oh right almost there and my legs are already aching! Nope not that I am weak but before going here we are at Dragon and Tiger Pagodas - Confucius Temple. If you happened to read it, then you know I walk a lot. Ah, so many calories were burned but I sip a cup of milk tea. Quite fair enough.
IMG_20231004_135536.jpg

Finally! We reached here but not totally. Few more steps were left but I couldn't take it anymore. I was so thirsty and starving as if I could remember past two in the afternoon and I haven't eaten lunch. Only had a cup of milk tea which doesn't help as it stirs my stomach!

So, I told my husband to go back in the car and we should buy some water too!

IMG_20231004_135243.jpg

Looking how far I needed to walk again? 😳😕. Yet, it was me who wanted to have this tour so I don't have the right to complain!

IMG_20231004_140934.jpg

By the way, on this side of, you can stroll around going up. There was still a lot to see but my companions didn't show interest so did we. We will be shy if ever hubby and I will pursue them and wait for us.

IMG_20231004_141038.jpg

So we continued walking back at the parking area then left and the next stopped was The enchanting view at Duona Suspension Bridge Maolin Taiwan.

Wow naman! What a wonderful walk there in Taiwan. I so love the architecture of the buildings and everything there lhes. Then the dinos caught my attention. What if dinos still exist until today? Hehe. Best regards!

If they exist today, wow maybe that would be exciting!
