Hello, friends!
I haven't been here for a long time...
Either bad weather or health problems. Oh, I missed #wednesdaywalk.
After some caprices and rains, October finally gave us some warm weather. On this day, I really wanted to go for a walk, but I didn't have a special plan. So, I only had a tea in a thermos mug and cookies.
Well, I decided to drive outside the yard, and then improvise...

Near the tiny chapel

This small chapel on the outskirts of my equally small village was probably built in the late 19th or early 20th century.
It was built by unknown folk craftsmen, and repair and restoration took place last year. A stone path was built to the chapel and the branches of the old linden tree were cut a little to destroy the mistletoe.

This is a new door, but it is an exact copy of the old one. It was very difficult to make them due to the fact that the arch does not have the correct shape.

The ladybugs (in Ukrainian "sunnybug") climbed on the sun.

Inside the chapel there is a small altar with a statue of the Virgin Mary and many fresh autumn flowers.

I remember this little window from my childhood...

It seems that this door and this tree have the same outline... Coincidence or not?

Climbing on the hill...

IMG_20241030_130133.jpg

Well, I finally decided to fulfill a tiny dream and find a footbridge in my forest.
It's the new trendy place for tourists, even though I don't like trendy places! But on a weekday it will probably be deserted.
But first I had to climb a small hill.

The pastel colors of the fields contrast with the bright colors of the forest. The unique beauty of October.

Another old linden tree indicates that I am on the edge of an abandoned hilltop hamlet. So, I'm going correct.

In the summer, people come here to relax or take care of the garden. But it's hard to survive here in winter!
I was pleasantly surprised, because it turned out that my friends, who recently bought an old house here, are there. It was also nice to rest a little and drink tea in their company.
(Here is my previous post about this interesting place!)
They also gave me valuable advice on how to get to the bridge, because there are almost no written directions :)

The forest was finally dressed in all possible shades of yellow, orange and brown.
In this part of the forest, there are many oaks and birches.
See how three beautiful sisters grew from one root!

After walking along a thin path for a while, I finally heard the voices of a distance and calmed down.
So the bridge is ahead!

Yeah, I found it!

For those who read my blog for the first time, it is worth saying that these forests are located in a hilly area. There are many deep ravines that are not easy to cross on foot.
So the members of one community of veterans of the ATO "Forpost" decided to build a bridge between the two villages. In the neighboring village there is a building in which a congress of the organization of Ukrainian nationalists was held in the 1940s. You can get there just through this bridge. But that's another time...

Here it is, between the trees!
I wanted to get here just in autumn!

Children's voices were heard. There was a family with three children who bravely walked over the chasm... Because of this, the wooden bridge on the cables swayed a lot.
This loud company was just about to leave and that suited me:)
I wanted to be alone to overcome my fear of heights!

The length of the bridge is 59 m. 20 people can be on it at the same time.
And what is the depth?
Believe me, it is very high here, unfortunately I did not manage to convey it with the camera, because there are many trees both at the top and at the bottom of the ravine...

Left alone, I calmly and slowly moved to the other "bank" of the ravine. And indeed, I am haunted by the feeling that there should be a stream down there... Like in the mountains.
This place really looks like a mini Carpathians.

And here is my favorite photo. The bridge, colorful trees and a bit of sun. It sets very quickly! But involuntarily I chose the best time to stay here!

The lower the sun, the colder it is. Colors become thick. The world freezes.
I wonder what it's like here in winter? And in early spring?
Let's live and see.
