Yesterday I took a break from work to do my laundry at the local laundromat. While I was waiting for my laundry to finish, I decided to take a walk down Lake street. I didn't have my daughter with me, so I was able to walk further than usual. Lake Street, as the name implies, is a scenic road that runs along Lake Champlain and offers beautiful views of the water and bridge to Vermont. It was windy, but pleasant, weather so the water was somewhat rippled and there were sailboats out in the water. The road comes straight down from the Rouses Point/Lacolle border crossing, so many tractor trailers come down this road. I am usually watching my daughter closely while walking here, but I was able to enjoy the scenery a little better when I was by myself yesterday. This street is lined with trees that are turning red, so it was a great opportunity to enjoy the Fall foliage. Check out the photos from my walk below.
Look closely and you can see the mountains.
The bridge to Vermont.
I found this huge leaf in the park across from the laundromat.
Fun Halloween decorations.
Looks a beautiful day and area for a walk a great use of the time while waiting for the laundry to be done
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk and have a great day
