Sunday was a chilly, blustery Autumn-like day. We were inside a lot that day, so we decided to go for a walk to the Montgomery Street Pier. The pier is one of the main scenic spots in our town. It looks out onto Lake Champlain and has a view of the marina and tree-obstructed view of the bridge to Vermont. We looked out onto the lake as the water rippled and wind blew through the grass of the tiny lone island near the pier. Some ducks swam to the island to hang out, groom themselves, and swish for food. The grey clouds blanketed across the sky in a thick layer, creating a moody atmosphere. This was contrasted by the flowers in the garden across the street from the pier; still bright, but starting to wither if you looked closely.
We looked across the water and saw the leaves in Vermont were starting to change color; the trees on our side of the bridge have started to change, too. We scouted for beautiful fallen leaves in our neighborhood on our walk to and from the pier. Check out the photos from our walk below.

You can kind of see the bridge behind the trees

Found many beautiful leaves on the way home
Thank you for reading about our walk ♡
That's a beautiful Wednesday walk. : )
