On this fateful day, I decided to do a daunting task, walking down to my place of work from the gate.
For the past 3 months, since I resumed work there, I would usually take the bus shuttle to and fro.
I honestly never knew that the distance was that trekkable.
One day, they increased the bus fare by 50% so that morning I decided to give my leg muscles an opportunity to flex themselves.
And ever since then, I have not stopped letting them flex. Lol
I found out that It took me exactly 15 minutes to walk from the gate to my office.
Walking also gave me the opportunity to view and appreciate the environment more, take my selfies (I love selfies especially those sunkissed type lol 😂) and pictures of anything I find fascinating.
I found this piece of rocky fragments fascinating on one of my walks.
It also saved me some money.
So there was no going back.
My first week of starting out was a bit rough though.
I experienced the muscle soreness that every newbie to exercise would experience.
But the benefits definitely outweighed the pain and I overlooked it.
Now, I don't feel any soreness after walking to work.
So lets say I'm keeping fit and saving money too.
A win-win 😂
I honestly never knew there was a platform where I could share something as random as my walking experience.
So, this community immediately caught my attention when I saw the name.
Coincidentally, its wednesday morning where I am, and I'll be taking more walks today too 😃
I'm really grateful for the ability to walk and move around with my two legs.

December 3rd is the International day of Disabled Persons.
I believe the only disability that holds one down is that of the mind.
Like they say, "your legs cannot take you where your mind hasn't been to"
My legs have been taking me to my workplace.

Trust me, if I was the one I could have been walking from day one.
Well, since I discovered actifit it encourages me to walk and take random photos.
So, I enjoy it whenever I get the opportunity to walk but not far distance oo under hot sun oo
Before the construction of the road that led to my ppa, most people pay that distance for keke to carry them to the hospital gate for 150 somethings with begging 100.
I didn't even know people paid for such distance until when they started complaining that the road construction had hindered keke to drop them at the hospital.
Me that has been legging it just kept quiet 😅😂

I downloaded the app but the grammar was too much o.
