Hello friends and Hivers, a few days ago I made a short walk through some very visited gardens here in Vigo and I wanted to share with you pictures of the place but I had not had time to finish the post.
To put you a little in context about the origin of these gardens, we must first talk about the facilities where the Quiñones de León museum is located.
This museum was a stately style house surrounded by a set of gardens inspired by the English and French gardens of the 17th and 18th centuries, it belonged to a marquise family of the Galician high society between the years 1678 and 1918 that along with Castrelos Park was passed from generation to generation until it finally remained in the hands of the City of Vigo, becoming the museum it is today.
For the day I visited this place the museum was closed but the gardens are always open to the public because it is a very visited place to relax, many people go just to sit and read a book, I could also see in the forest people practicing musical instruments such as trumpets, also some girls come with their photographers to take pictures.
There are plants of all kinds of flowers, there are plants that bloom in winter and others in spring, there is also an orchard, a forest and a garden in the form of a labyrinth.
Entering the forest I saw this sort of circular room, I couldn't figure out what it was or what it was built for, I think it might have been a punishment room something like a small jail or maybe it was just a storage room for food. What do you think?

That was a nice walk around the museum... That labyrinth looks intriguing and it's great to see everything green with flowers blooming!
I think that the next place to visit in Spain is Galicia! Definitely!
When do you have less rain, in spring or autumn? 😃
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project which will be highlighted in the next post!
Hey, I think it rains less in spring. I arrived here in September last year and when autumn started it rained a lot, now that spring has started it rained a lot at the beginning but it has stopped and I have been told that in summer it doesn't rain anymore.
When this season is over ask me again! 😁
Glad you liked the images and thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for the advice... I know that it rains a lot, but it would be nice to be there when it doesn't... lol...
those grounds are so beautiful and look so well maintained
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk, its my pleasure to host it and see all the posts each week from all around the world, including yours, if you have time visit some of the other walks this week there are so many interesting ones
Now I know most only post once a week using the Wednesday walk tag or community and I truly appreciate that and love visiting the posts so for most of you you can ignore the next sentence
I try and be nice and let people know via a comment to only post once a week, but some just abuse it and to me spam multiple posts a week, after asking nicely a few times and being ignored, this morning I regrettably had to mute a couple of people who were spamming the Wednesday walk tag
Thank you for taking the time to leave me this comment.
I try to be respectful of the rules of the communities, in fact I am a Mod in one and I also demand that the rules are followed.
I am sorry that you had to mute some users, not all of them have good behaviors in the blockchain, The good thing is that more people do follow the rules.
Because of my limited free time I can't post or comment as much as I would like to, but I am sure there are interesting posts in your community and I will try to visit as many as I can.
Have a great day! ✨
And thank you for your understanding, sadly a small few make fools of themselves but now that I have muted them I move on I hate muting people but enough was enough
dont worry if you cant visit other posts, thats only a suggestion for those who have free time so do not worry about that
