Greetings to you my dear hivers! The weather was so nice today that it made me want to go out. It was past 8 in the morning when I decided to go to my mom's workplace with her.
I was feeling excited since it had been a while since I hadn't gone to the city. I carefully chose what I was going to wear. I went for a white tee, shorts, and my pair of white sneakers, hoping it wouldn't rain later. I was humming the whole time while I was preparing. It was so obvious that I was excited.
The sky was so clear, I was all smiles. I could not hide the excitement I was feeling. I felt a little sad looking at the trees with no leaves, though.
We were so lucky that a free-ride bus stopped in front of us, which was also going to the location we were going to. I asked my mom if the bus we took was really free. Then the driver said, "just write your name down, no pay, this is a free ride." I was amused. Wow, so it really is free. There are still buses going around for free. It would make a lot of workers/commuters happy.
When we got off I was feeling nostalgic as I saw this very street where I used to walk everyday. I used to run as I was going late to my part-time job, where I used to walk while studying my notes for my exam.
This is the street where I used to almost cry because I couldn't cross the street because the rain was so heavy that the streets were flooded, and I was already late due to rain traffic. It's been a long time.
I was happy to see that the banana and coconut vendors were still there. They might not remember me, but I clearly remember them. Of course, I would not forget the people who helped me cross the road when it was flooded. They would put stones on the road so we could step on them to cross.
I could still see myself sweating from running as I fixed my hair here.
So this walk today is like a walk down memory lane.
Hi there! The building where I used to work part-time back then. It has been 3 years since I last visited.
This is where the guards would greet me, and since they are all close to my mom, they would always say "where's your sister?" They actually know me since I was a kid because my mom started working here when I was still a baby and up until now, but they say that my mom looks young and when we are together we don't look like mother and daughter and that we look like sisters.
There were few people here, it is so quiet. Usually it's crowded in here with patients, nurses, doctors, and medical representatives chatting.
As we got off the elevator, I quickly ran here as I missed looking at this view.
When I was still working here, if I arrived earlier, I would always come up here to admire this view.
I would finish my activities here while looking at that view. It helps me think of answers and come up with amazing ideas.
Before I went home, I ate lunch with my mom and talked. I even took a photo with her.
That was my walk today. Have you gone out of your house too? To where? Comment down below. Thank you for joining me on my mini walk down memory lane. See you in my next post.
