One of the very popular communities here at Hive is of course the one where I am writing my today's post - a community where on Wednesdays we publish our walks, be they short or long, in the urban region or in the wild nature... maybe in our neighbourhood or we just went out from work to go for a coffee break. It's always something interesting to share with our friends from all around the world and point out some details that might make our day.
Since we are talking about walking, and we need our feet and proper shoes for that activity... wait, are you walking barefoot? Well, I like it, if it's summer and if the walking surface is a sandy beach or grass. However, in most cases, it is not the surface on which we walk, so if you are not one of those who exclusively practice walking barefoot, then you need appropriate footwear.
I wonder, what kind of shoes do you walk around in?
You can see, I'm always the same, you already know me. Sneakers, everywhere. Nice shoes are only for performances and not with high heels. And especially not with heels like all these shoes that come today in my Wednesday Walk post.
These murals (ok, are they murals at all..? paintings on the entrance to one public parking lot) pay homage to the tradition of making footwear in this city. I can't tell you more about it from my own experience, I would just read the information that is available for everyone, so better let's just start discovering together the heels I met this afternoon.
Walking in my very informal footwear toward the street with giant high heel shoes I remembered a street in Alicante with giant mushrooms. Those I visited a few months ago, hope to find that post... yep, found it. If those mushrooms wore shoes, maybe this size would suit them. Definitely, too big for us humans, and I can't imagine myself walking around in this type of footwear for Wednesday Walk. 😅
Could it be that Gulliver has a girlfriend who has lost her shoes? I found six of them, of different colours but I suspect some are missing... I found out that ten giant shoes were placed here in December 2023. Maybe I accidentally missed a few of them or __________ (here you can think about a possible reason why I have seen just six shoes... like the giant mushrooms stole the missing ones, or Gulliver took them or some vandals damaged them... whatever 😆)
Purple, light blue, two nuances of red, green and a golden shoe were those that I found. The shoes are the same I think but the colours are different, so when you want to pick your favourite you will have to be guided only by the colour.
My one... uh, can't choose between the purple and golden one, both are fancy - in case I learned one day to walk in high heels! 😂
I would choose the red one without hesitation. I'm not one for high heels either, I don't think I've worn shoes like that for a long time.
The red is a lively colour, and that one, maybe with a bit lower heel would be perfect with jeans - taking them off when you arrive to the seashore ;))
Heels? No way! I've never been able to walk in them, the highest I've worn I don't think is more than 4 cm and I ended the night barefoot hahahaha. Sneakers, sandals, moccasins, espadrilles...that's my thing. Nevertheless nice giant heels on this hike 😉🤗
Ending barefoot is an adventure haha, I can just think about it as a sign of having good time and fun. 😋

How original it is to put on giant high heels, they are beautiful. Well, I liked the red and gold more.
To tell the truth, I only wore heels when I was young. Today I think I couldn't walk two steps with them, I'm old, and my feet are already tired, but high heels are elegance. I loved your Wednesday walk. A hug.😘
That's true, they indeed are elegant and truth to be said I am taking my hat off to those who can walk in them well. You must have been elegant and pretty in high heels when young. And now you are still pretty, but you don't need high heels for that 🤗

hahaha, we are the sneakers team then - but hats off to those who can walk in high heels like professional models. I guess it takes some practice but still... we don't want to be injured, right? 😂

Oops, I don't wear heels... I can't, I can't .... is not for me. I wear sandals, balerinas.... how do you say well... comfortable low sneakers and boots... no heels. But this publication is a luxury of heels and murals... what a beauty!😍
Oh, my... I think all of us Hive girls wear sneakers and shoes/boots without very high heels... But, I am curious, maybe there will be someone who can walk in them even for a Wednesday Walk. I will have patience hahaha and don't ditch that possibility ;D

Ok, I just went to measure the height of my boots that I wear when I play the piano (when it is already colder as since I was playing in the huge stone house house on a party I ditched the zapatos de vestir de verano 😂)

All of mine are lower .... almost knee high, but the heel is no higher than 4 cm.🤣
I always go with slipper or slides, lol. I like sneakers but my feet is too long, I hate what I see when I'm wearing it. Frel like my feet is not the right size for my height 🤧🤧🤧. Haha, just feel like sharing about this. Hehe.
Anyways, I so love those huge high heels. If it's open on top, I think we'll fit inside it, lol. It's fun to have a walk in there while admiring those things.
I to go for comfort when walking, and generally have two pairs I bounce between a pair of sneakers with good grip for walks on beaches and over rocks or other slippery surfaces, and a comfy pair fo casual shoes for other walks
I think those count as murals and are pretty cool

If I were to walk barefoot in my neighborhood, I would lose both feet... literally haha I already lose them wearing the right shoes, because they are sensitive and get hurt easily haha auch! 😂
