On this happy day to accompany this heavy equipment. This heavy equipment people call vibro, this heavy equipment is tasked with making vibrations on the ground or systemic waves with the aim of detecting the presence of oil in the ground because my area has the potential for oil to be called the gas earth. Actually, in the past this activity was also carried out, but it was very different from the way it was done in the past by drilling into the ground at a depth of about 20 meters and then inserting an explosive device to get vibrations, whereas now it is modern just to use this sophisticated tool that has a vibrating effect as needed.
This tread is lowered at the points where the vibration will occur. In fact, the vibrations it creates are a bit dangerous because of the potential for cracks in the buildings around it.

Vibro seismic technology, workers use vibro seismic vehicles to record data during the Big Acacia seismic survey in Arahan, Indramayu, West Java, on Sunday (8/28/2016). The use of Vibro Seismic Truck technology, owned by Pertamina EP, is able to record seismic data through vibration in densely populated areas and urban areas for oil and gas exploration without damaging the environment. Pertamina EP's exploration team held a Big Acacia 3D Seismic Survey Socialization with sub-district heads, village heads and a number of village heads throughout the Indramayu Regency at the Indramayu District Office on Thursday (14/01). The socialization was conducted to introduce Vibroseis tools to conduct seismic activities. The new technology is capable of generating seismic data in densely populated areas such as urban areas.
Pertamina EP Seismic Public Relations Chief, Salahudin Achmad said, the implementation of 3D seismic is aimed at obtaining data on the structure of the earth's subsurface layer with geophysical methods used for exploration activities to increase the amount of oil and gas reserves in the West Java region.
He explained that in the seismic activity, his party also used a new technology tool, namely vibroseis or vibrator, which is used as a source of vibration needed in the context of seismic surveys in urban areas. The vibrations then become waves that are recorded and ultimately describe the subsurface structure of the earth. "We guarantee that the vibroseis vibrations will not disturb people's homes," he said.
He said this advanced technological tool was used to create vibrations from a vibrating source, which were then recorded and would propagate in all directions under the earth's surface as waves. Then the waves that hit the rock layers will experience reflection, refraction and absorption. Therefore, the response of the incoming waves will vary depending on the physical properties of the rocks, including density, porosity, and age.
"The reflected waves are then picked up by a device called a geophone, which is placed on the ground and sent to the instrument for recording. From the recording, a seismic cross section or description of the structure of the earth's subsurface layers will be known," he said.
Meanwhile, the headman of Margadadi village, Indramayu sub-district, Suwandi, said that his party has no objection to seismic activities. Although the socialization, which was attended by other Lurah and Kuwu colleagues, had just been carried out. "As long as the activity is for the welfare of the people, we support this seismic program. If it's for the welfare of the people, why don't I support it," he said.
The same sentiment was expressed by Indramayu sub-district chief Sugeng Heryanto. His party is ready to make the community understand that seismic activities are not synonymous with the use of explosives. This socialization is an effort to eliminate any impact. This includes making the community understand that this government program is not dangerous.
"Initially, we thought that seismic activities involved the use of explosives. But after participating in the socialization, it turns out that there is very little risk. However, if there is an impact, they have also prepared compensation," he concluded. (AGS)
I have never seen a vibro truck so cool to see and read about it
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk and have a great day
This vibro truck is small in size, the radius of the wave system is very small, only about 25 meters, so the potential for building damage is minimal, I am also happy to have been accepted to join this community.
