When my friend buys her oysters, they are this size. She puts them in bags and floats them in the river.
This is where the little ones will stay until they are big enough to go to the lease.
When they are this size she sorts them by size and puts them in bigger bags to go out on her lease.
After a few months, she has to bring the bags back in and pressure wash all of the growth on them. Growth can be barnacles, sea squirts, or algae.
She has asked me to work with her, if I was younger I would take her up on it. But I do not think I could do the job with the shape of my back and all the other health issues I am having.
That’s so interesting to read about the process
No doubt it is hard work I don’t think I could do it either
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk
you are very welcome
