Wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
I wanted to give my grandson a special treat with this excursion because his greatest passion is dinosaurs.
After some research I found this park in Austria/Styria, although I live in Austria I have never heard of this park before.
It was the perfect destination for my grandson, of course he was very happy and he was excited and impatient because he didn't know what to expect there.
On arrival we passed this castle, castle Riegersburg also in Styria, we have planned to visit this in the near future.
The Styrassic Park is located in the district of Bad Gleichenberg,
the park is set in a magnificent forest which offers ideal shelter in hot weather and has a great atmosphere. A fascinating primeval world opens up: like millions of years ago, around 85 life-size dinosaurs cavort here.
On the way in primeval times
If you roam through the forest at the foot of the Gleichenberger Kogel, you will encounter creatures that once populated the earth, died out millions of years ago and still fascinate children in particular. If you were separated from the dinosaur monsters in Spielberg's Jurassic Park by the cinema screen, you can now experience them up close. 85 dinosaurs (from the Greek "sauros" for lizard, salamander) are set up here in their original size and in authentic poses.
The park with the true-to-life dinosaur replicas was built in just seven months. The focus is on those species that actually lived in the area around Bad Gleichenberg in Styria. This is where the name "Styrassic Park" comes from. Those who think they have already seen everything are often wrong. In the Styrassic Park in Bad Gleichenberg there are always new dinosaurs and new offers.
Not just dinosaurs
In addition to Plateosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex, many other attractions await visitors. For example, there is a fire-spitting volcano that makes the earth tremble and gives an idea of the past of the thermal and volcanic region of Styria, a petting zoo, real dinosaur finds, the chain fly carousel and much more. The extinction of the dinosaurs and the triumph of mammals are also discussed. The development of the mightiest mammal - man - from the emergence of the upright walk to Homo sapiens inspires young and old.
It's also exciting to whiz down the giant jungle slide or to stay overnight in the "Tree Hotel for the Cheeky Monkey". Informative guided tours are also offered!
By the way: All attractions are included in Styrassic Park. Pay once and experience "all inclusive"!
The tree hotel to stay in
It was a wonderful, interesting trip, not only for my grandson.
