Me too. It doesnt give good technical quality to the captures (which I found important to me) and totally manual.. like a game of random! But it is a solid pleasure, so why not to play with it for fun from time to time? Just - one have to be prepared for the possible consequences, haha! ...and do not borrow it to carry out important commercial orders... 😉

Oh no I wouldn’t for commercial work 😉 but it is always fun to play. When I got bored in my profession, someone told me to use one single lens to do my work, so I chose the 50 mm. When you do it as a professional, you forget to play. I understood that really fast
Great choice! I totally agree, I could be that person to recommend 50mm too.
I am a fan of this lens xD ideal to shoot kids, very helpful and sufficient for object photography (and capable of doing macro with adding macro coils), high aperture, not expensive, pretty universal. (I went from Canon 1.8 to Canon 1.4 and stopped being a happy owner of Sigma 1.4). Btw I am not a pro cameraman (tho I'd love to!) 😎
I didn’t start out as a pro, I had to show my portfolio to study it, and when you begin.. you are not a pro either. After 25 years I can say I am 😉
