Rain is not welcome in this city. Everyone hates it here. And why would it not be? No one likes seeing the roads clogged and massive traffic on the street! The crazy thing is I still love this.
Last Monday when I was preparing to go out, it was already raining. We wait for a while but it didn't stop. I didn't mind getting wet a little bit. Oh, one thing I hate about the rain; it wets the shoes!! Otherwise, I'm fine with the bad weather.
It was around 6.30 in the afternoon, rush hour, everyone was heading to their home from the workplace. It's been a while since I didn't get myself into this specific hour because I know what the street looks like during this time and what the traffic is like. I had no choice this time.
I get off from my Uber and was searching for a specific location, turned out I need to walk more than 10 minutes to get there! Felt a little dumb though. But it's okay to make mistakes sometimes, no?
Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to see the color play going in the sky during golden hour.
After finishing my work I was waiting for another Uber but unfortunately, there was none available at the location. I decided to have a cup of tea from the roadside tea stall.
It's been years since I didn't have the experience because of Covid fear. To be honest, I loved the tea. The smell reminded me how much I missed the experience.
Interesting thing is, the tea seller lady was very friendly and asked me about how many kids I have and all. She showed me her son's photo on her mobile, said her son doesn't want to go to school, he is very naughty, blah, blah, blah...
I usually don't get this gesture. Maybe one mom just wanted to share her mom's life with another one and my appearance made her feel comfortable. I didn't mind, quite liked it.
Oh, I forgot to add that there was no rain afterward. hahaha...That's why city dwellers hate rain. Rain just wets the street and the shoes, nothing else.
You had quite an adventure with many lovely encounters and sights. Bravo :)

Thanks a lot :)
Following rain, it is quite difficult to walk on the roadsides. Even if the rain fails to wet our bodies, a running vehicle can shower us with muddy water!
It is good to see that you enjoyed your walk!

Yes, I mostly hate it. But this time I quite enjoyed it because I was not in a hurry.
When it rains in the city expect a heavy traffic. It's really hassle especially to the employees who only commute.
Yeah, I know. I hate it when that happens. But this time I was not in a hurry so I quite enjoyed it.
I love the rain because I get to snug up in my duvet..... But then I understand the traffic part. It is like that here too
hehehe...we can't ignore the bad but can make the best out of the situations. :)

Rain can make traffic a nightmare for sure, but when its warm I quite like the rain and will happily walk in it I find it refreshing
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
I agree. There's always room to make the best out of situations. :) :)
Thanks.
Indeed, I do strive to always try and find the positive in anything, focusing on the negative achieves nothing and drags us down
I liked the part of the tea seller talking to you about her child. Some people wouldn't be so friendly. Maybe she just needed someone to talk to and you looked fit for the conversation. I just love it. I do enjoy the rain too that's if it pours and not drizzle. I hate it when it drizzles and stops making the whole place dirty and cold. Personally,It's better it pours heavily.
