There's something magical about rural life. The unnurtured nature, the wilderness, and the laidback lifestyle complement each other. It lets us forget the misery, the hustle & bustle of our urban life.
Yes, urban life gives me energy but to find peace and calm what could be better than having a relaxed weekend surrounded by trees and birds chirping?
November means there are only a few days left until the end of this school year. We are planning to skip the usual winter vacation of December this year as my son will be admitted to the Karate school during that time.
But I'm not feeling comfortable about the decision. My old soul is crying to sit back in a relaxed environment for a few days, away from all these responsibilities and to-dos!
That's when these photos popped into my phone's gallery memory. This is my Aunt's house which I visited exactly two years ago.
It was one of the most memorable tours I have had in recent times. No there's nothing significant to talk about but the surroundings of their house are what made our tour once in a lifetime.
The front and back yard of the house were open where we could sit and enjoy the wide sky, and the greenery around us.
The small jungle behind their house was full of mystery and a place of discovery.
The 100-year-old abandoned house was adding a charm to the whole surrounding.
It would be incomplete without this beautiful river near their house.
*The whole surrounding is complete, they have a pond, a garden, and a mini jungle, a river near the house. What else does anyone need to feel fulfilled?
The best thing was the view from their front yard!
The coconut tree with green rice paddy fields on both sides of the road created something magical. I used to sit for hours there to absorb this beauty.
This is not a recent walk but it was two years ago. I wish I could go back there and have another vacation.
But the bad news is, my aunt is sick and she is staying in the urban home for a while. All her offspring are far away and no one lives in the house now. Seems like it would soon be called an abundant house like they have one from their previous generation.
This is life, no? It repeats!
I hope you didn't mind seeing the old photos of my memorable walk. I may have shared a few photos earlier two years ago.
We don't have a village house like this but a big house in a suburban area that doesn't have all these but city amenities. That's why sometimes I feel like there's no place left for us to escape from the city vibe.
Am I the weirdo who hates to live in cities or this is normal?
Anyway, so this was my nostalgic walk down memory lane; I would say!!
I agree there is an allure and a magic to Rural life when I was stuck working inthe big city for many years each day I could not wait for the work day to end and get out of the concrete jungle
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
I'm waiting for the day. I will sure go back and build a life there. But life is so unpredictable, I don't know if I would have the time, assets, and ability to do that in final chapter of life :(
beautiful!!!
Thanks :)
Life in not populated áreas is also magnificent. Simple? Perhaps but undoubtedly peaceful and magical. Like your pics.
Sure, and I will vote for the peace and calm any day. :)
Couldn't agree more with you
