This is another entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by @tattoodjay.
I have to say, writing for the #wednesdaywalk community has made me a more observant hiker. Of course, it's fun to share these photos every week (and earn some HIVE, too), but I've noticed it has made me much more curious about the wildflowers and plants that are already moving through the cycle of life. In this wonderful little stretch that I try to walk every morning, I've already seen three sets of wildflowers come and go since April. That is mind-boggling for a guy who usually just speed hikes stuff and fails to pay attention to his surroundings. Thanks to this community, I've already done so much more in terms of photographing the vegetation than ever before.
Granted, most of these beauties of nature are likely allergins, but that's ok. Enjoy the moment, right?
Nothing beats a near frost morning in early May for a hike, in my personal opinion. I love it; it sets the day off on the right foot (pun intended?)
I even found a few "man-made" items this morning too; the first was a road sign stuck on the edge of the woodlands.
The other was a peace sign, wood burned into a piece of wood and strung on a tree.
Not a bad walk at all! I am most fortunate, no doubt, to have such a peaceful place within walking distance to me. The Scarpas love it, and so do I.
Thanks for checking my walk out! As always, hoping everyone out there in the world had a wonderful Wednesday too. See you next week...
This looks like a nice walk but...Ah hell, I'm just going to say it, legit boots!
oh...they are good. And this is just the start; Hive today...youtube tomorrow with millions sub'd watching me hike everyday, talking about accounting, UFOs, beer ...these boots are going to take to me places - lol
Those boots are your vehicle to greatness!
Great post glad joining Wednesday Walk has got you looking around and seeing more it’s fun isn’t it
It is fun, thanks! I should probably get a book next on figuring out the names of what I'm actually looking at...hobbies abound!
I just saw an advert pop up on my phone this morning of an app that identifies plants and flowers I may have to install that it may be helpful
really? that sounds interesting, what app is that? .I ended up buying a book last night at Barnes + Noble, but there are about a billion photos to sort through...lol - that's what I get for not paying attention in biology class.
It’s called picture this plant identifier I have installed it but not tried it yet
Nice shots.. Yeah, posting pictures on hive gets you looking around...👀
Very true!
