Surprising plants during the send-off of our Immersion student

Hello, lovely friends in this amazing community. How are you today? I hope you're doing great and awesome as always. Today, I'm back with a new blog to share. I hope you will find time to read this.

Today, we will be sending out our students to their immersion partners. As a senior high school student, immersion is part of their curriculum. It is the time when students will be having an observation in the real scenario in the track they were choosing.

Today, as senior high school teachers together with my colleague, we will be sending our students to their respective immersion partners where they were tasked to execute what they have learned in schools. Some were tasked to be in the Municipal Agriculture Office in our town, some will be placed at the different private tailoring establishments in Bogo City.

Right now, we are visiting our first partner - Tabogon Technical Skills & Development Center, in Daantabogon, Tabogon, Cebu. This partner caters to our first group composed of four students. On this site, they will learn more about sewing since this is the center for skills and development in our town.

As I was roaming around the place, I observed a lot of vegetables planted near the area in varieties - eggplants, bitter gourd, carrots, and dragon fruits. And it was amazing to see these different plants planted on plastic pots. Eggplants bear a lot of fruits from each eggplant pot.

These were just planted on the vacant space of the place and because this is being taken care of properly, that is why it bears a lot of fruits. Seeing this every day makes me more alive. The colors with the radiates of green will surely heal your eyes. It's good to see this kind of view daily.

Being curious, I asked the caretaker of the place and they were selling these different eggplant fruits when someone will ask from them.

On the other portion of the place, the vines were planted. It's bitter gourd! It's not time for the fruit-bearing season of the bitter gourd but I see it very healthy. The good thing is they have water for the irrigation of the plants which is lucking in other places of the town. When water is scarce it's difficult to plant vegetables, especially when the dry season is coming.

I can say that students assigned to this place would be so lucky because they have these vegetables for their daily consumption which makes them healthy as well. Learning and becoming healthy at the same time.

That's it for today's blog my good friends. I hope I made you smile. This post is for my Wednesday walk initiated by @tattoodjay, and the #makemesmile challenge of @elizacheng.

Have a nice day everyone😊

What a great walk for you and your students, I'm sure they appreciate this kind of learning trip, being outside the classroom. I'm a teacher as well, so I can understand.

Thank you so much for appreciating. Yes, they will be learning how it looks like in the real scenario outside the classroom.

those students will learn agriculture as well. great job! what does a dragon fruit plant look like?

Yes for sure they will be learning a lot.

Dragon fruit is a vine plant with thorns and it bears fruits in pink or red color. Looks like this.

Yes, we have. A lot of us here in Cebu are growing this kind of fruit.
