In my post Share Our World: Hillwood Gardens I briefly talked about the Japanese Style Garden at Hillwood. Today I would like to take you on a walk through the gorgeous garden located at Hillwood in DC.
The paths, water features, and bridges are enchanting!
From the main path the Japanese garden is a bit hidden. You need to walk down and then you are immersed in the beauty all around you.
There was a stunning mix of Japanese plants like Japanese Maple and azaleas.
You know me. I have so much fun capturing the beautiful details of the plants.
There were some fun animals in the garden too. Do you see the animal in this picture?
Yes it is real.
There were also turtles
Here you can see how happy I am in this gorgeous Japanese garden.
It really made my soul happy. Hillwood has a lot of gardens (around 6) and this one is the one that I think about the most when I think of Hillwood.

Wonderful to see today this part of it 😁 beautiful. Love the bridge and plants.
Especially the Japanese maple. I had one many moons ago. But we moved hahaha 🤣
Have a wonderful day today 👋🏻☀️
The Japanese maple was so beautiful. That is so cool you had one. That you have a great day too.
Thank you kindly @sjarvie5 😁
I must look if I have somewhere photos of it. I don’t think so, as it has been awhile.
They are stunning little trees.
That's a beautiful looking garden. That's crazy that there are live snakes and turtles, that pretty neat.
Yes, it was fun to see the animals. The snake was so big that me and a mother and daughter didn't know if it was real. They got close and it moved. :)
I'm not afraid of snakes but that would be a little scary I think haha
You have really captured the detail and the colors very well. I love Japanee gardens in general... They have such a calming effect that you just don't want to leave...
Thank you for sharing these photos!
You are right. I didn't want to leave. I could have stayed for hours and I would love to go back!!
🙂👍

Thank you so much Jay. And if you want you can make the trip to DC. :)
Most welcome and maybe one day I will revisit there ;)
Is that really on Japan or just a Japanese theme place? That place is really cool. I can say that it looks like a paradise👀
There's even snake hahaha!
By the way, can I ask what code you used here? To make it look like a table.
Have some !PIZZA
It is called the Japanese Style Garden so definitely just themed.
Yes, I use PEAKD and it is one of the options for editing.
Oh, I really like that place.
Sounds cool, so it's a table. Thank you for the info!
