Brand new lambs are everywhere at a local farm.

We even got to see one being born when we got there.

Afterbirth and all...

They got numbered as they were being born. This guy has a 1 on him so He's probably the first one that was born the day before.

It's amazing how agile they are so soon compared to how long it takes us humans to get going.

Lots of napping and nursing for these little guys. The poor mothers look tired.

Super cute and super demanding with lots of baaaing.

This one found a secret area to stay out of the way.

These two were galloping around the pen. I wonder when tail cropping happens? Probably won't visit the farm to see that lol.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

Thanks again @ewkaw :-)

They are so cute and how special that you got to see one being born.

We went there for a typical walk but got there just in time to see one being born.

Wow, already standing up soon after birth; how cute the lambs are. They assimilated themselves in the farm very well. The walk to see the newly born lambs was all worth it.

They seem ready for outdoor life within 10 minutes.

Heheh... Too curious about what life is like in the outside world. They are born ready.😀
They're soo lovely.

These lambs are super cute 🥺🥺🥰🥰

I wish I had taken video they sound super cute too.

The last photo, the lamb in the back, it looks like the tail has one of the bands that can be used for castrating but in this case, maybe to make the tail die and fall off? The other one might have one, hard to tell with the mud. The newborn at the top's tail doesn't look like that.

You are right I didn't realize they already put rubber bands on their tail. I wonder how long it takes for the tails to fall off.

I think it was 2 - 3 weeks for castration. I never had sheep so I don't know...
