A fairy mirror and other magical things during my harbor walk

in Wednesday Walk2 years ago

I am showing you this beautiful seaside city of Burgas, but so far I have not shown you the port.
How could I have made this oversight? 🤔 Unforgivable, right?
Well, I hope you'll forgive me. So far I have shown you enough things and places photographed during my walks. Today, however, the time has come for the port.
Yes, if you've been following my account until now, you might remember that I've already featured some buildings from it, static objects only, one for each post. Objects that I have examined in detail and in depth.
However, today's post will be, and should be, different. Showing things almost seen while in motion. Of course it's in motion, since I've been walking then, I've been in motion and I've only stopped to take some pictures now and then.
So, let's get started.

IMG_20230113_135552.jpg

Again, I'll show you the photos in chronological order - in the order they were taken.
And if you ask me now why I photographed this building, the first thing I show you, I'm not sure I can answer you. 😃 It was a time when I was attracted to every abandoned building I came across on my way and photographed it, whether I had any access to it, whether I could take sufficient and representative pictures, whether I could say something about it and give some data and information.

IMG_20230113_135607.jpg

What I can say is that this building is part of the port infrastructure seen from behind. It may not be as abandoned as it seems at first glance and it may be just a small part of the magical world of coastal cities and their administration. 😊

IMG_20230113_135627.jpg

You don't quite believe me, do you?

Well, let's move on then.

IMG_20230113_135650.jpg

Are you starting to get an idea now? 😄

IMG_20230113_135728.jpg

You can read for yourself what is written here and what this construction is - Lighthouse Guard Tower, first gate of the port from 1903.

IMG_20230113_135711.jpg

In the immediate vicinity is placed an element devoid of magic, but it cannot be missed - a plaque placed in honor of the departure of several thousand saved Jews to their country.

IMG_20230113_135831.jpg

And after a few tens of meters we reach the water - the main goal and the main protagonist, the most magical part.
(You can see in the background the Sea port traffic control tower and the Marine station.)

IMG_20230113_135859.jpg

And here is something.

I know this is part of the port infrastructure as well.

I've been here several times and every time I see it - it's standing in the same place, it's not moved around.

IMG_20230113_135924.jpg

But every time I passed by it, under it, I felt strange. Because of this strange Alice in Wonderland effect.

IMG_20230113_135945.jpg
(You remember the beautiful white building of the International congress center, right?)

IMG_20230113_140010.jpg

This mastodon looks huge. Bigger even than the huge congress center building.
See for yourself:

IMG_20230113_140055.jpg
This causes the perceptions to become confused and the feeling of magic is intensified even more:

Look at the incommensurability between man (a tiny ant) and this monster - the port gear:
IMG_20230113_140034.jpg

This monster, a giant, can just lift a leg and crush the little ant, can't it? 😱

I try to shake off this monstrous feeling and head towards the facade of the marine station.

IMG_20230113_140206.jpg

You remember it, right? That beautiful thing that reflects the water and the sky, in which water and sky merge into one...

IMG_20230113_140148.jpg

It is the magical fairy-tale mirror in which the sea is viewed, through which the sea ascends into the sky, through which it takes its place in the heavens. Where it belongs, figuratively.

IMG_20230113_140242.jpg

And this is the "real" view, not reflected in a mirror, if we can even talk about something "real" here. Can we? 🤔

I can't say for sure. Especially after that last thing I show you 🤭
Drawing of the planets in the solar system on asphalt.

IMG_20230113_140225.jpg

So, Space brought to Earth.

OMG someone stepped on Pluto, Neptune and Saturn! 😱 Someone has even set foot on Earth (but that's not such earth-shattering news, is it?)

So, fairy towers, a fairy mirror, giants, the sea brought to sky and space brought to earth... what else could an ordinary harbor offer to its casual visitors?

Maybe we'll find out later, because that's all for today, guys. See you next week!

These portals have enough value to deal the positive essence.keep this dream alive

Which portals do you mean?

I loved your photographs, they are beautiful, it is excellent to photograph old buildings, some look like movies, I also like to take this kind of photographs, I hope you have an excellent day 😊

Well, it's only one such building this time, thank goodness. 😃 It's quite depressing sometimes.
Thank you! Have a wonderful day you too!

I have visited this city so many times and I think only once I didn't go to the port. It is indeed quite an interesting place. Through your story, I now have the urge to visit it again :)))
Have a great day!

Mission accomplished again, then 😊 The harbor is kind of like a gathering point, kind of like that sign that indicates the place for people to gather, you know. I think it's the same in the other city - Varna, about which you already wrote once - the port is a famous tourist spot, a meeting place.
Thank you! Have a great day you too!

Indeed a wonderful place. Glad you like it. 😊 Cheers

Thank you are welcome.

Very happy to walk with you through this city
Have a beautiful dayI love your Wednesday walks dear friend @soulsdetour. This coastal city that you show us is really beautiful, I love the stone buildings and the appearance of the abandoned buildings. What beautiful shots of the port of the city

Have a great day you too!I am so glad that my efforts are appreciated, dear @jlufer 😊. I try to show this beautiful city and its seaside places right now, during the winter, to provide a little more sun, light and warmth to us all.

Thank you very much for the great support!

Such an interesting walk, so much variety from abandoned looking buildings to cool lighthouses and buildings

Love the views looking up the crane

Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks

It is truly amazing that such diversity can be seen in just one place. A place that should be perfectly ordinary. Well, this here is not like that 😊 Glad you liked it!

Some fantastic shots here. The architecture is wonderfully photogenic, I could spend a lot of time just photographing those buildings in the first shots. The reflective shots and the sea/sky shots are great!

Thank you very much! 😊 Yes, it is indeed a very photogenic place. At the same time, it is very attractive from an emotional point of view. Maybe because of the water, I don't know. But I was torn between the desire to photograph and the desire to look and feel.

That was cool journey . You made it like walking into the wonderland fairy tail . Well done .

Thank you! 😊 I decided to make this ordinary walk a little more interesting, looking in detail at certain things, pondering a bit more... and... voilà 🤭
