Yesterday I posted in a community I had NEVER tried before...
If you are wondering, it was the silverbloggers community. A lot of very good people who I have a lot of respect for, told me I should post there but for some reason I never got round to it till now.
I made some new friends and saw some I don't cross paths with often in my current circles, that is a WIN for me, the greatest single thing about HIVE is community, right?
That got me thinking... (Usually a pretty dangerous activity for me!)
So I set myself a challenge of finding another community that I had previously not used, obviously one that would be of interest to me, I don't want to be trying to tailor my writing for a community that it is not a fit for me, nor me a fit for it.
My life journey right now means I need to try and get healthy as soon as I can, I cannot, however overdo it so need to start again gently.
Well that sounds like a bloody perfect fit, if you ask me. Especially as m'lady is worried about me right now and suggested we go out for a walk tonight. We decided to tie it in with eating dinner. I think she had in mind, placing my plate on a pre-determined finish line...
Hey! I ain't too proud to pick up the pace and maybe break in to a little trot if there is sufficient reward at the end!!!
Also I have wrote thousandsandthousandsandthousands of words over the last few days on topics that felt emotional, draining and h e a v y and fancied writing in a way that clears the cobwebs , coupled with an activity that does the same, walking.
As we have experienced one of those warm, sunny days that mark the closing of Summer, we chose to walk along the promenade of a local seaside coastal resort, it may be the last time it will be this nice.
We started with a 5 minute walk along the promenade and as we hadn't eaten through the day, we caved pretty quickly and went and ate fish and chips, a must if you are at a British seaside resort.
We knew we were going to have to step in to it if we were going to burn off some of the calories from the meal. While eating I noticed what looked like rain through the front window, although we were seated quite a way from it and without my glasses, I can't see much anyway haha.
Upon leaving, we realised it was not rain but an incredibly thick mist rolling in from the sea.
I freaking love mist and fog, especially by the sea, the way it makes the beach look as night starts to draw in.
It doesn't come across as well as I hoped on camera (phone actually) but it was the perfect setting for a horror movie featuring undead pirates staggering from the sea, up the beach toward the locals with murderous intent in those cold red eyes...
Too far???
Look! You can see my feet moving in this shot. Absolute empirical proof that I am actually walking!
So I found essentially, an entire tree! Random!
There is one thing about going to the beach or a forest or moors and woodland...
The bloody evidence of rude people who like to leave natural unspoiled beauty... SPOILED!!!
The worst part is that there are bins everywhere by this beach. These people set an amazing example for their young ones watching on to see how to behave in the world as they grow.
There are sea gulls EVERYWHERE.
I love the striations in the sand, the effect left by the ebb and flow of the tide, over what is most likely coal spoil, looks very striking like an artists canvas to me.
In fact. I cannot resist, it is much too tempting!
I have always known that 'crocs' are the work of the devil BUT it looks like others are now catching on and leaving them behind through embarrassment,
A sad reminder of a phenomenon that is becoming more and more common of late. There is some VERY credible research that suggests that windfarms may have a part to play.
M'lady got in on the act too, apparently, she loves me!
The mist was getting more and more dense and it was starting to get dark.
Is that an ancient burial ground?
The exercise will do us good. So I am not ashamed to show you what we did before we went home... m'lady chose chocolate and sprinkles, I went with bubble gum. It wasn't as big as the ice cream outside would have us believe though!!!
I procured a weapon, just in case anybody tried to steal my ice cream!
Neither m'lady nor I have been doing too good recently and if I am honest getting out in to nature and enjoying the sea air was incredibly beneficial. We walked off a lot of stresses and perhaps a couple of pounds/kilos and enjoyed the fact that we live close to the coast although we don't go nearly enough.
Thank YOU for taking the time to read my post and if you're one of those amazing people who like to hit the comments section... Then I doubly thank YOU!
Either way I want you to know that you are appreciated!
nice to have you join the Wednesday walk
Love your writing style such a fun read and a nice walk
I to get so annoyed when I see lazy people just dump there trash in what is a beautiful area, well anywhere for that matter
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk :)
Thank you so very much for the warm welcome, it is a pleasure to be among such fabulous members. I noticed so many of my friends using the tag, I find it hard to believe I have not stepped through the community doors before, it will abso-bloody-lutely not be the last time.
You are right, humans like to leave a little debris wherever they go, right? I think it is the equivalent of marking their territory like dogs!
Have a fabulous week my friend, thanks again for the warm welcome. We will cross paths again very soon 😎
👍🙂👍
It's truly a shame to see so much debris left by human beings on the beach, especially when trash receptacles are everywhere. People who use Earth as their trash can suck!
Glad you and your lady were able to have a good long walk and get some fresh air along with ice cream!
@tipu curate
I remember thinking when I heard about how much garbage humans left on the moon in just a short handful of flying visits, wow, not content with 1 planet, now we need to start on trashplanet mark II. I am sure as a species, we are very resourceful, we could litter the entire galaxy if we really put our mind to it!!!
Thank you so very much for stopping by, you are wonderfully supportive, I am very happy to know you. We will cross paths a lot more moving forward, you can be sure of it. 😎
Upvoted 👌 (Mana: 15/75) Liquid rewards.
