Wednesday walk on Lake Baikal

in Wednesday Walk8 days ago (edited)

Autumn is not always sunny weather, I decided to take a walk along Lake Baikal on one of these days. This amazing place has always attracted me with its natural beauty and grandeur. I took my family with me to share these moments of joy and admiration with them.

We started our walk early in the morning, when only the first rays of the sun touched the smooth surface of the water. The lake shone, reflecting the sky like a huge mirror. I took out my camera and started taking pictures: trees bent towards the water, rocks washed by the waves, and, of course, the waves themselves playing in the dull cold autumn haze.

My family laughed and played nearby, collecting incredibly shaped stones. We were all absorbed in the atmosphere of this magical place. I took photos, trying to capture every moment: the quiet moments when we just looked at the lake, and the stormy moments when the children ran and let paper boats float on the water.

Every step along the coast opened up new landscapes for us. We met an old fisherman who talked about his catches and shared local legends. It added even more magic to our walk. One of the legends said that if you make a wish at Lake Baikal, it will definitely come true. Of course, I made a wish.

The history of Lake Baikal goes back to ancient times. Its water depths and picturesque shores were inhabited by many peoples: Buryats, Evenks, Russians and many others. Baikal was famous both for travelers and for merchants who followed its wide waters. On its shores there were important trade routes connecting Siberia with other regions of Russia.

Local traditions and cultures associated with Lake Baikal are also inspiring. Many at the same time observe the customs of their ancestors, preserving the language and holidays. For example, Buryat shamans consider the lake sacred, and according to local legends, its waters hold countless secrets.

In the evening, when the sun began to set over the horizon, the lake turned golden and purple shades. I took some recent photos, realizing that these moments are indescribable in words. Together with my family, we finally sat on the shore and watched the sunset, feeling our hearts filled with peace and joy.
