Let's go to a very special place with unique atmosphere right now, guys!
It's just about 40 min of riding from my city but it's not Crimea already, it's a mainland part of Russia, and we need to cross our famous bridge to come there.
it's close but it's an absolutely DIFFERENT world!
Welcome to Taman.
What is it? Is it a city? No.
Is it a village? No.
It's stanitsa like it's called here, and it's an official name.
Why is it called so, and what does it mean?
Stanitsa is an ancient settlement of Cossaks who lived there some centuries ago.
But, actually, this very place is much older, and its official age is more than 2500 years
This installation shows all names of this place
It's a very small place, it's more like a village, not a city.
There are NO tall buildings at all! Ony private houses and 2-3 storyed houses.
There is NO big traffic.
There are very few people. Tourists are an exception;)
And there is very unique atmosphere of calmness and harmony.
People are very kind and attentive.
I was about to lose my bag with money and all cards, but they showed us the place where it was!
There is NO hurry here, no artificial life and no fashion stupidity.
Taman is very natural and very comfortable.
Enjoy it with us!
War monument
A monument to Chernobyl
wall decoration
wine production is popular here
and it's grape fields
Now this place is very attractive for tourists because of the sea that washes its shores, and because of this very special meditative calmness.
We are in love with it!
We were walking there for about 6 hours, and we loved each corner of this small but lovely Cossak stanitsa❤️.
It’s great to see a village with no tall buildings. It’s getting rare in my side of the world hahaha
So much to see along your walk. I could for sure spend some hours along the water side there.
Thanks for sharing with us your beautiful photographs and walk.

How are people in Russia handling the greater national conflicts with Ukraine, and international sanctions? From your post and pictures, it appears life goes on, but is it more difficult?
life always goes on..
it's not the same for sure, and it will never be.
our country is different now, and the world is different, but if you ask if we still have normal peaceful life - yes, we do have.
does your TV news tell other things?
The news is dominated by the Ukrainian perspective, which is understandable, since they are the ones suffering invasion. However, there is a popular sentiment of demonizing all Russians, which makes little sense to me. Russians are not responsible for the actions of the Russian government, no matter how much the myth of "democracy" says otherwise.
