WEDNESDAY WALK: HIDDEN SIDE OF THE CITY CENTER

in Wednesday Walk3 years ago

Hi to all Wednesday Walkers! Where will we go today?

From the one hand, it's our Kerch city center. But from the other hand, noone sees it, except of locals because it's a hidden center - streets that are parallel to the main Lenin street but they are not so ideal and nice like it is, so tourists don't go there.

It's a center, but it's hidden from people's eyes. Though IT IS real city life, real people's reality and life truth.
We all know that main streets are the most amazing places of any cities, but if we go a little bit deeper, we see absolutely different life, without decorations.

Let's see it now.

Interesting old architecture. Semicircle houses are not built now any more

Such confessions is a bright part of local street art:)

"Irochka, I love you, forgive me"

I hope Ira forgave this Romeo:)

Hidden yards.
I like this moment because everything around was of almost one colour, and Wow - bright red car.
If an owner really lives there, he is tired of surrounded reality for sure..

One more bright example that here life is more real. There are no roads even here. Like in most places with private houses.

It's a very important building.
I'd like to say - the most important one, where most of Kerch locals were from the very first second of their lives.
It's a Birth House;)
I gave birth to my son also here:) Sweet memories. How afraid I was to go there...and how happy I was to leave it with my baby in my hands...😍
A building of the greatest happiness in life

Now it's being repaired. At last. Because it needed for many years.

Kerch pine-apple☺️
Don't know the name of this plant, but it's popular here

A road to the center where Kerch is much more beautiful but less real

When our walk along hidden central streets was over, we went home. This time by bus.
It's our ticket
We paid 22 rubles for it - it's about 0,3$

If people pay by cards, it's cheaper - 17 rubles
In this case they use validator - they need to touch it by the card, and money will be paid

How much do social transport cost in your cities, guys?

Sort:

When I used to travel a lot when I visited places sure I would go see some if the touristy spots but I really liked getting off the popular spots and finding the true heart of the place where the residents live and go about normal daily life fir me it’s so much more interesting and real

So I loved this post fir showing us that side of the city

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

thank you for visiting!

👍🙂👍

I like the color of the paint on that building, it immediately caught my eyes.

Also, transportation in my state is cheap in comparison to other states in my country, so I can spend less than a dollar moving around.

where do you live? so we have almost the same prices

I live in Nigeria

The semicircle house is beautiful but sorry to hear that people don't build something like that any more.
And I hope Ira forgave for the guy too.
