Thank God! The most favorite thing I remember growing up. Those beady little eyes of water rats. Those little buggers can be quite big!

Ohh yeah they can but I think the deer rats you see in the subway in NYC are even bigger
There are deer mice, but, as far as I know, there are roof fats that are black or dark brown and Norway Rats that are brown and sometimes called sew rats or brown rats. (also these are the water rats or used to be called wharf rats)
