Wednesday Walk a sunset walk

Something a bit unusual for me a sunset walk this week, and in of all places a cemetery
this last couple of weeks the weather hasnt been ideal for me to get out on many walks, to cold in the mornings for the most part, today was the first day with the temps around sunrise to be above freezing point so I thought to head out for a walk, but the rain started so it wasnt meant to be.
Yesterday I did get out for a good walk at the port and on one of the beaches but i havent had time to look at those photos yet, so going with another talk I took a few days ago.
we had a day without rain or cold temps and no appointments so I walked to the cemetery near our house as sunset was approaching
To some i guiess it may seem strange taken a walk and photos in a cemetery, but I don't mind walking in cemeteries Iespecially older ones checking out the headstones and dates and imaging what life was like for people backk in their day.
but that said the main reason I went to the cemetery was firstly I do like the bare trees with sunset colors behind, and it was a last minute decision and the cemetery is close by

I love trees in photos all year round, whether full with leaves or bare as they are now, I think bare they have so much character

I was lucky enough to see and catch some gorgeous colors on this walk

I was layered up and it was a few degrees above freezing point so for the most part I was warm apart from my fingers wearing fingerless gloves
I know I could get other gloves with touch sentive finfers and use them in winter, but I hate full gloves and like to have a real feel when holding my camera

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.
I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

thanks my friend, yesterday and today was nicer during the day but I had some appointments, but was able to get out for a nice stroll at sunrise this evening
Walk through cemetery most peaceful, watching the fingers of trees outstretched upward capturing last rays of light very symbolic against the gentle evening sky.

I really feel like this is the perfect place for a walk. It's probably pretty quiet and you don't run into a ton of people. Plus it has all the paved paths and everything, so it seems really great!
it is great for walking, very quiet i only saw two joggers while I was there, and its literally right out our back door so close by LOL

Many may not like it, but cemeteries have something special, a mystery and how beautiful they look with those colours in the sky. Fantastic pictures and a great walk!

What a serene place to catch the sunrise! I like old cemeteries as well, they can be beautiful places. The historic one's usually have great trees and old headstones or mausoleums. Great pictures!
I find cemetererys quite calming especially the older ones some cool mausoleums and readigngthe headstones and imaging what life was like for them
I remember walking around Cape May, New Jersey years ago, some of the headstones were made do such soft stone that the names were becoming hard to read. Mainly those from two hundred years ago or more. Life must have been very hard back then, for all the problems we face today it's nothing compared to the times these people lived in.
some are like that in a couple of the even older cemteries here, times were sure harder back then without a doubt
Nice sunsets over and beyond the cementry. Sunsets are amazing to see but I mostly miss a lot of them this time of year. Hey it's dinner time when they happen or I get stuck at work. Looking foward to when we start getting more sunlight back, haha. But both the sunrise and sunsets are incredible in the winter time.
I to am looking forward to whenthe days get longer they are so short at the moment, I am normally more of a sunrise person but at this time of year with it so cold in the mornings I catch the odd sunset when its a little warmer

The weather is really very changing here too. Now it's difficult to go out for a walk but you catch some good pictures especially those bare trees 🌴

They are nice pictures of the bare trees, it is certainly something different to walk through the cemetery but from your pictures you can tell it is a quiet place and also very well preserved, usually in my country the cemeteries I have visited are quite spooky both day and night🙈 I hope the weather improves soon and it is not so cold! Greetings 😊
they do a great job of looking after this and the other cemeteries here always sad when places let them get run down

I definitely love the mystique of the cemetery and it's been quite a while since I saw an amazing sunset like that. The fiery orange amid the bare trees looks wonderful. I believe death is not the end, another dimension/ re-birth awaits us even us our bodies are laid down into the earth.

A perfect place to spot vampires... did you take garlic with you? Hahaha... I joke. Bare trees are always nice to photograph and even more so with that retreating sun.

Happy #wednesdaywalk 👍 great sunrise shots. I've never found gloves that I could wear and work my camera very well. I always end up pulling off my gloves. The amount of time I have for photos depends on how cold it gets 🥶 sometimes a quick, auto focus shot is all I have time for lol
