Wednesday Walk Buttonwood Park
This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)
With the colder temps this past week, with the temp at sunrise, when I much prefer getting out walking being below freezing point its just to cold for me to be out with my camera at that time, and also I have bene busy with other things this past week, a nice day with Family on Thanksgivign a couple of Doctor appointments, and switching from my apple watch and phone to samsung and settign them all up has taken time, but I did go for a walk during the day in Buttonwood Park and got a few shots to share for todays post
Starting with these little red what I think are rosehips contrasting nicely against the blue sky

NOw often when I visit the park I am by the pond gettign shots of birds there, but on this walk I also took the time to walk around the park more both to get some steps in and to see what other shotsi could get
I have no idea what this plant or tree is calle dbut it caught my eye

this is the road I drive in on to the spot I mostly park at when visiting the park but with some color still in the trees I walked up it to get this shot

now you may wonder why a shot of the bench, well ther eis a reason for that
ther eis a group that helps to look after the park called the Friends of Buttonwood Park, and recently with the help of a donation from AARP they were able to install a few new benches around the park and hence this photo

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

.I really love that one looking down the street! The doctor appointments have been incessant lately. I feel like I have at least one a week anymore! Getting old is for the birds!
thanks, a shot or view down that street that I am not sure I have taken before
yeah so much for the golden years right, golden for our doctor income lOL
Good morning dear friend @tattoodjay how are you?
How great that you spent a beautiful Thanksgiving Day in the company of your loved ones.
What beautiful photos, I love the black and white image of the bench.
Have a great day
Thanks and you have a wonderful day
3rd photo are very awesome 😍😍..
Beautiful photography 😍
Have a great day 🌻
Thanks for hte feedback and have a great day
good luck
The shots you share today are more of trees, and that was how you gave us those beautiful photos, they are looking great, truly an interesting walk at the park, good afternoon from here.
Thanks this park is caled by many the jewel of the city and I think they are right is such a nice park to walk in
Wonderful walk in the park. The second photo is my favourite.
I can imagine the busy days.
Can I ask why you switched from apple to samsung? My apple devices are annoying me lately and the laptop, with the latest upgrade said it wouldn’t support canon anymore. So thinking myself getting something that will continue to work.
Have a lovely day 😊
Thanks :)
and as for switching, I was always a fan of Samsung phones, i had I think most of the galaxy models from the first through maybe the 13 gen, but at the time i switched to apple was primarily for the apple watch as the samsun model really wasnt up to speed compared tot he apple, plus the fact all my family here were apple users,
NOw that the samsun watches are a lot better, and my iphone having some issues I decided to switch back to android and am very happy i Did
as always when you swithc from one to the other there are some things you may miss initially from the old phone O and capabilities, but soon you adjust and find you can do all the same things
and why do I like android over iphone, i love tinkering with the phones and seetign them up as I like the and find i can do a lot more in that regard with my samsung phone
You are welcome.
Thanks for the explanation. I understand.
Here hubby had all apple products so sharing between all made it easier when I switched. I did go from samsung to apple a long time ago too. Now I am used to using apple. But lately with all the new updates I am getting more problems. Especially now it told me last week the support for canon isn’t there much longer.
I always liked windows / android system better and the things you could indeed change with the samsung. Especially my old laptop. I haven’t got used to my apple laptop yet. Hahaha
Hhmmm need to think about it all.
I din’t have the watch.
Good to hear you like the change, and you are right… one gets used to it all over time.
Happy #wednesdaywalk 👍 I really like the photo of the willow (I think) tree with the warming house in the background.
On a totally unrelated topic... why did you switch? do you like the Samsung as much as Apple?
Thanks for the feedback

Sounds like you are an android person. They are good for tweaking the way you want them 👍
When it's cold, it's cold! I will be the last one to blame you for not going out in the cold. When I was younger, I had to go out at times, no matter what the weather conditions. And I'm sure had similar experiences during your lifetime. So, no need for that anymore...lol!
I love the contrast in your first photo! Thanks for sharing your photos with us!
Ohh yes back in the day I was out in all conditions and to be honest back then it didnt bother me so much, but these days I am glad I can be selective when I go out lOL
Those rosehips really contrasted the sky nicely That was a great shot! The gold colored tree was beautiful. Not being out too early gives you some different subjects to photograph. Plus it's not nearly as cold which I truly hate! One of the things I love about southern California is the weather, rarely does it get really cold.
I have to admit in mid winter I do wonder why I didnt reture and move somewhere warmer LOL
How beautiful are the colours of the trees at certain times of the year, that avenue of trees is fabulous, and the second image is beautiful! Thank you for this walk!🤗
thanks for your visit and feedback
funny thing is that avenue of trees i have walked along many a time but I think this is the first time I took a photo of the view
I am fascinated by trees and displayed in this way even more, they are magical and pure life.
Absolutely beautiful pictures from your walk. I do love the initiative by the friends of the park to put up benches. Come spring and summer time, they will come in handy for people looking to relax and enjoy the park. Thank you for sharing and do keep enjoying your week :}
Samsung phones have very good cameras. ;)
That photo of the bench in black and white is really beautiful.
