Wednesday Walk La Palme Farm

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

For this weeks post I am going to share a walk I did a few weeks ago, that week I walked on quite a few trails and only shared one as my Wednesday walk post, the reason I am going back to this wwalk, is although I have bene out most mornings to catch the sunrise, its been to spots I have shared before, or its be very steamy and my camera kept fogging up making taking photos a challenge, I think I have found a solution to that, part of the issue is I have the AC running in the car, so its quite a change from the temp in the house and car to that outside when I get to a spot, so now I am putting the camera in the car a little while before I head out and when I drive I turn off the AC, lets see how that works on my next walk.

Thi walk is on one of the trails that is maintained/supported by the Buzzards bay Coalition and is on La Palme Farm

With nearly 50 acres of meadows and forests, LaPalme Farm celebrates Acushnet’s natural beauty and pastoral charm. Hikers can explore more than a mile of trails on a journey through the Acushnet River Reserve, its a short drive from where i live and such a beautiful trail to explore as I hope these photos will show

I'm not sure why most of these photos are with an ISO of 50, I never purposely set it to that, so I probably must have bumped the button and changed the setting without realizing it

To get to the start of the trail you walk across a field and then come to this cleared path heading to the trees

it was so fresh and green at the time, quite a change from now with it having been so dry the greens are fading or struggling at the moment

its a nice walk heading alongside and into the trees, lots of wind flowers here and there

There is something so calming and relaxing being by the water for me, I stopped and took a breather, soaked in the fresh air and listened tot he sounds of the wood for a few minutes in this spot before continuing on the trails

Weekly giveaway of shares

This week I am sending to the following who joined Wednesday Walk, for this week I did a random draw and the following each received some Hive @hoosie, @neoseven, @kaminchan, @jacoalberts, @toffer and @evernoticethat

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

Make me Smile Collaboration

As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,

Here are the rules for her challenge

Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem, drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.
b. Your content must be ORIGINAL CONTENT
c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Wow, the bright sky, the beautiful natural environment, the location of the lush green trees, created a great atmosphere, the scenery really impressed me. Hope you enjoyed a wonderful day.

Thanks kindly your support is appreciated

Have a great day

50 acres? That's massive, that's my dream. I hope to have such land for fish farming, battles, birds, and some crops too.

You did justice to the pictures as usual and thanks for shedding more light on the Wednesday walk challenge. I thought the shots must be captured on Wednesday, happy Wednesday sir.

Yeah it would be nice to have a big bit of land like that :)

thanks so much

Happy #wednesdaywalk! Wow so green. Beautiful area and the reflection is perfect. I like the areas with the trees closing over head to form a canopy. I find areas like that so peaceful. You can stop and listen to the sounds of the forest, the wind in the trees. Its one of my favorite things in the world.

Thanks, indeed it was so green then, I must visit it again soon and see how it is coping with the drought and heat we have bene experiencing, hopefully its still green and relaxing to explore there

honestly I like Wednesday walk! It gives people the reason to go out and move. I just made my 3rd entry for W-Walk.

Glad you are enjoying it, will visit your post shortly ;)

There is something so calming and relaxing being by the water for me

Snap, we are exactly the same. It does not matter if a pond, a stream or the sea, water totally relaxes me!

Love that walk, you can't beat water, trees and fresh air 😄

Indeed anywhere with water I find relaxing, I remember thinking that one day walking around NYC on a busy day and then I came across a big puddle, and it just took away some of the stress of the city

That big puddle was in Central Park 🤣
I loved Central Park, relaxing by the water!

LOL no not that big puddle in the park, but it was fairly close to Central park, theres often one just out of the park on 5th Avenue, but this was two or three blocks away from the park

Hehe I knew not that puddle, just being an arse 🤣🤣
I was there when it chucked it down quite heavily and there were flooded puddles all over the streets.

LOL

and having worked in NYC for 15 years I saw heavy rain and puddles many a time there

hehe you know what I am talking about then 🤣🤣🤣

That looks so tranquil.

thats a great word to describe it, it was indeed very calming and tranquil

Hi again Jay, I am popping down my walk for today, and will be out visiting and seeing who is walking today on Hive!

Awesome cheers Jay😁

👍🙂👍

Hello dear friend @tattoodjay good day
Taking good photographic shots involves many factors, I hope that turning off the vehicle's air conditioning is the solution
What a beautiful place ¨LaPalme Farm¨ for those of us who love nature is the ideal place for a walk. I love the photographs and the reflections of the pond
Beautiful shots, I appreciate you making us known
Have a great day

Thanks for hte visit, and yes turning off the AC which honestly I only use as my wife likes it has made a difference the last couple of days, now I just need to remember to turn it back on next time my wife come sin the car with me LOL

it's good to know that the air has worked, yes, you have to remember to turn it back on for when your wife wants to travel in the vehicle.
have a beautiful morning

LOL if I forget she will remind me quickly LOL

It's good to know the rules of this challenge. Also, there are some lovely canopies in that trail. I bet the air is fresh and the bugs are abundant.

I like to think I dont have rules just guidelines :)

and yes there was plenty of bugs on this walk

Oh, right. Guidelines. So there's some wiggle room to make posts unique. That's cool! There are always beautiful places in these #wednesdayewalks.

the only rule i have is to have fun, and perhaps also to only use the tag once a week

That's what I saw. I might try it if I go for a walk somewhere nice!

👍🙂👍

✌🏻✨

What a lovely place to take a walk.

It truly is

Green everywhere, lovely path through the trees the pond in shaded area looks lovely blue, capturing moments in height of summer is enchanting!

!LUV

Thanks so much I loved this walk

Looking up through trees looks like the stars were out shining on you too, paths where forest bend over to shade one are always tranquil walks.

Sooo beautiful @tattoodjay the green and nature around you was just stunning 🤩
Love areas like this, I could walk for hours or even sit somewhere and see the hours pass.

O I so know the fogging up of the lens. That’s a great idea to get it in the car sooner so it can adjust.
I noticed this a lot going from different temperatures.

My post for today:
Walk around Paris ~ highlights of day 2 - Part 2 in Paris, France 🇫🇷
We continue with the last part of day 2 😉 and have some dinner…

Have a wonderful day further 👋🏻☀️

You had a good walk again .. I love the scenery 😊

Very nice! I love the trees! I was looking at the map a while ago trying to figure out where some of these areas are. I noticed that a lot of it is very populated, but it is cool that they have these "green" areas available. Really beautiful shots!

it was such a nice walk, and I am quite impressed with allthe nature trails they have in this area

Happy #WednesdayWalk! Fifty acres of lushness! Isn't that the prettiest walk!? That is such a nicely maintained place, I like the way they keep the grass down, People have become very concerned in the last few years about hiking/walking in the long grass.

I like that the terrain is varied, from hiking paths to forested areas, with water included. Such a lovely setting! Thanks so much for sharing the beauty!

You can find my post here

I think this is the favorite of all the trails i checked out here as you say it has such a nice mix

I will admit that I have a fondness for the beaches you always post. They never look the same to me and I find it fascinating that you never seem to repeat, even in the same spot. That is pretty awesome.

I love the luxurious green of this trail. Nice. Nice.

Thanks thats so kind of you to say, I do try and visit other beaches, but often find myself going back tot he same ones which are close by, always looking for different points of view, but sometimes with the different mood of sunrise Mother nature makes it different each time

You do it well, honestly. It never looks the same to me.

I hope you have a great night!

Thanks had a nice quiet evening, as we always do LOL

Hello, and thanks for the support!

I love mirror photos such as the trees reflected in the pond, it has the effect of "doubling the fun" of the original image. Was deciding where to do a walk today and due to the heat, wondered if I could get any good shots in a mix of shadow and light at night. I may try it and see what we get.

MOst welcome and be careful going out in the heat make sure you take care of yourself if its to hot there is always next week

This walk must have been so calming on the mind...just you and mother nature. What a beautiful area. Thank you for sharing this with us!

And thank you for the Hive you've sent me! It was an awesome surprise when I got notified, thank you!

MOst welcome and yes this is one of the favorite trails I have explored recently it is so relaxing and calm disappearing from people into the woods

Beautiful pictures 😍😍

I'm almost too late, so I had to make it a somewhat low-ish effort post but a post nonetheless. I saw your cornflower last week and around the same day I took the photos in my post 😁 - funny how that worked.

https://peakd.com/hive-155530/@oceanbee/cornflowers-and-critters

isnt it funny how coincidences like that happen , yours was a lovely post

It seems like this time of year is the best time to go there to enjoy much of the greeneries. The reflections are awesome! Clearly mirrored image indeed.

Wow! What greenery. All of your photos look beautiful! Here is my 3rd participation to the Wednesday walk 😀:
https://peakd.com/hive-155530/@jadeaca/on-a-wednesday-walk-in-the-the-process-of-our-nature-cycle

It seems the ISO 50 worked well to a grear extent really. The colours were captured well. I love the pictures together with the locations too. I believe soon I will publish my first post in this great community. 😁

Beautiful post, @tattoodjay. I especially the beautiful woodland trails!
