Wednesday Walk Popes Island

I hope your week is going well and Happy Hump Day, I got out for a few walks in this past week which is greta after the big break I had, I decided to go with this walk on Popes Island one morning as I often say its about getting out and sharign what you see on the walk and not all about the quality of the photos, and on this day it was fairly grey and damp so not the best of photos, and I did get a little creative with editingin a style I dont often try
Starting with this houseboat docked by a marina on the Island, I am not sure who live son there I havent been able to find anything about it

and another shot of it with as I said a more creative edit, I am veiwing it here from the bridge that connects POpes Island to another island called Fish Island that then connects to New Bedford proper

and now looking over the bridge, which is actually a swing truss bridge this shot as the gaurd rail/arms were rasing as the bridge was about to open to traffic again

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.
I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

The most important thing of all is that you have been able to do the hikes you love so much and that you are well and enjoy them. The images are fantastic in spite of the grey day, those colours in the sky are fantastic! Thank you for this walk!😃

Happy #wednesdaywalk 🙂 I like the way the creative edit pulls some definition out of the clouds. Much more interesting than the first shot with just overcast "sameness" in the clouds. Although the light in the house boat make that first shot a good one also.

That houseboat looks well cute. I wonder if it is fulltime liveaboards or just weekend type of thing.
I really like the third one, with the sunrise behind the boats and the clouds, What a pretty shot!
Not sure I would enjoy a houseboat, especially if it got stormy!

Cool challenge, @tattoodjay. Have recently fired up my camera after gathering dust for a couple of years and this is exactly the kinda thing I wanna see to get me motivated to getting back in the habit of taking my camera out. Cheers man!
