Hello Hello Hivians
We have been having some gorgeous autumnal weather this week. By that I mean blue skies and no winds! I had to go across town yesterday so I took the opportunity to get the camera out as I walked into town.
When I say camera I mean the smartphone camera!
I left the house just after 3pm and I got on the bus in the last photo at 4.52pm, so that gives you and idea of time and speed the sun goes down!
You can see the blue sky when I left the house. There was an ambulance that flew past, I did try to snap a motion shot but I didn't capture the whole vehicle so it looked naff and to the bin it went.
I always like walking past this garden as I know they have a touch of colour in their flowers no matter what the time of year.
And yesterday proved no different. Who am I kidding, I walk past this house and garden almost every day!
Do you see the little red box on a pillar above the silver car?
That is actually a post pox or mail box. I use from time to time and glad we still have them, although for how much longer I don't know. Red is the colour of our post/mail boxes... what are yours?
I do love these sort of plants as they do remind me of what we call mother-in-laws tongue.
This particular one is quite apt as the cross street that we come to is called ...
Lady Helen Street
and my mother-in-law is Helen, so it always tickles her when we show her Lady Helen Street.
The sky was still blue and we were heading across town.
Can you see something down at the bottom of the road?
Yes it is the sea, I live on the coast and am never far from the sea. Actually I have just come back from beach combing this morning so that will be the walk next week!
You can see yesterday was also blue bin day, or general waste. We get our bins collected once a week and the colours are rotated.
I just love this wee tree, it reminds me of a Japanese bonsai tree albeit a fluffing giant one!!
The first time I walked past this property I had to do a double take! Can you guess what it is?
Yes it is Bowling club, but not the indoor ten pin type, oh no it is the outdoor lawn type.
I never saw the big green lawn, but it is hidden.
Next up was the race through dog shit alley. Those leaves are a haven for hiding dog shit that owners don't pick up.
I volunteer now for Greener Kirkcaldy, it is not much but doing my little bit to keep the town as green and as environmentally friendly as possible!
Stone cobbled streets and beautiful stone buildings. We are spoilt and so many people don't care!
Nearly at the bus station now, it is just the other side of the town hall building below.
Which still has not got the clock hands back!
It also has this statue on the wall, I don't know who it is, so should really make an effort to find out!
The back of it has these gorgeous old street lights!
Then I ran across the street and onto the bus I needed to catch!
I alighted when I got to the stop I needed to be at. It was only fifteen minutes on the bus but the sun was away and in it's place was the moon ....
Did you see it?
Sunset always produces lovely colours, and I love winter sunsets when colours filter in to silhouette naked trees.
You can probably tell in the next picture that I am in a supermarker carpark...
Yes I had to do a mystery shop here at some departments within this Asda store.
By the time I came out it was dark!
In the direction of the sun we could see sunset colours.
But it was time to say adios to Asda!
I had a bus to catch, there was only one passenger on the bus, and I was to meet her.
Mrs T takes this bus home from work and was on it already, we had the whole bus to ourselves!
Then it was back home, and Cinderfella straight into the kitchen to cook a rice and leftovers dish!
I hope you managed to get out for a few walks this week!
This is also a post to participate in the #wednesdaywalk initiative from the wonderful @tattoodjay
Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!
All images and ramblings are from me, the mad Scotsman TengoLoTodo and pictures were taken with my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL smartphone.

Cant beat Asda, its been a while since I was there. You are lucky to have the bus to yourself almost, its usually quite rammed here!
They are quite the store, have a pharmacy, opticians McDonalds etc, I think they copied alot from Walmart when they were owned by them.
Ah the buses are hit and miss. That service is run by a small local company and I think gets subsidised.
I loved your walk around the city! The photos truly capture the beauty of the afternoon and those little everyday details. Those walks that end with beautiful views and a warm dinner at home are the best. Thank you for sharing! 🌆🌳
Thank you Wendy. I do love the everyday details, because that is what varies from country to country. One of the great things about Hive is seeing the everyday details and how other people live.
And food, well we all love good feed jeje!
Thank you and have a wonderful rest of your week.
The moon coming out at 4 is pretty gnarly...
We don't have mail boxes over here though.
Haven't experienced the excitement an/or annoyance of a full mailbox
hehe just wait till next month, it is even fluffing earlier!
looks a beautiful area and nice skies
today its nice and clear but very windy with the wind chill its just getting above freezing point today
As for post boxes I remember back in NZ they were red, but here to be honest I have no idea, I know in some places I have lived here in the states they are red, but cannot say I have noticed one here, when i Have to post something i just leave it in our mail box and the postie takes it
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
Thanks Jay, touch wood we are windfree for a bit. You wrap up warm, the wind can whip through you!
Ah yes that was one great thing about living in the States leaving your mail in your mail box and the postie taking it.
lets hope so still windy and cold here today so no walk for me
We haven't been so lucky with the winds. They have been pretty brutal here already. In fact, we even had a tornado the other day. In the middle of November!
Wow be safe! I was hearing someone say I think the first 8 days of November in England had no sunshine, all grey days and no wind. Needing to rely on fossil fuels for energy generation!
My wife is already getting a bit down with the gloomy weather here in the US.
It has been quit grey but we hope the sunshine will soon be out. We hope for a better November. Wishing you safety.
Thank you, we had some some on Wednesday and hopeful of some today too!
Stay safe and let's enjoy the rest of November.
Sure friend. I can’t believe the winter ❄️ is here, always the signs of Christmas 🎅. I love 💕 this season.
Cheers 🥂
