Hello Hello Hivians and welcome to the middle of the week!
Did you bring your walking boots?
You can tell that we have turned the light tide as I call it.
Here in Scotland it is fluffing dark in wintertime. But come the winter solstice it stays lighter and in a couple of weeks it will three minutes longer per day.

All aboard
So last night well late afternoon, 5pm to be precise I went out to get some groceries and meet Mrs T at the bus stop.
It would be pitch black at this time a couple of weeks ago, even last week it would have been dark.
The camera on my phone does a cracking job of turning the dark sky into a gorgeous blue vibe!
Infact you can see the shades of blue as I left the shop and walked home.
The blurred speed motion of cars in the dark look cool. Well to me they do and that is what counts, right?
This is one of the main roads out into the countryside so is well served with car lights and street lamps.
At the roundabout though we hang a left...
A break in the traffic and if you are like me then you will love the way bare winter trees look in the blue night sky, almost giving silhouette vibes!
Another thing I love seeing in the blue nighttime sky is cool way clouds look.
Almost like a shooting UFO feel to it. Yes my imagination goes into overdrive at times!
This is usgoing past one of the park entrances. Those bare naked trees saying hello to us.
Top left corner you see a sign, it is actually advising that school children might cross as there is a school mot that far away.
We will close out the outside part of the walk with more naked trees.
This shot reminds me of a negative film pic.
What about the treats?
So on Monday I got a notification that a restaurant was having a 50% discount.
I had never heard of them. But it turns out [Pepe's)(https://www.pepes.co.uk/) is The HOME OF FRESH FLAME-GRILLED CHICKEN...
And I wanted a treat!
And my oh my it was fluffing tasty.
They had umpteen flavours, and even the rice was hot and spicy!
If you ever want some awesome chicken then give them a shot!
Cheers everyone!
Well this post is for #wednesdaywalk which was inspired by @tattoodjay
Thanks for visiting and I hope you managed to get out for a walk this week.
All images and ramblings are from me, the mad Scotsman TengoLoTodo unless otherwise stated. Note images are all snapped by me with my Google Pixel 9 XL Pro smartphone on 28th January 2025 and some were used in canva to make the lead image.

My wife struggles with the dark and lack of sun as well. That's part of the reason we put our Christmas lights up so early this year and we still have some of them up.
Oh yes I remember you saying you still had some of yours up. That's a good idea.
The restaurant name sounds like a Filipino!
Our national hero nickname was actually Pepe
Is it really! Well the chicken was good but I know you wouldn't eat lhes!
Haha I do eat sometimes!
Hehe I know. And I hear sissy has the same thing with chicken!
I ro am glad when the days start to get longer now I just need it to warm up
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk Have a great day
Ah yes longer days cheer me up big time, it is as if we come alive too.
I love spicy! I like to spice up my soups. When does winter end in Scotland? I already want to see those trees dressed in lots of green!!!! A hug, my friend and take care of yourself.
What do they say ... Variety is the spice of life. So yes I love spicy too. Winter end haha well in theory at the end of March. Then we get Spring, but we could get an early or later spring. As long it gets lighter then I don't mind.
Yes soon the shoots and buds will appear on the trees. Thank you and a bug hug over there.
Hmm, dark by 5pm. That's pretty early boss boss.
Scotland is amazing 👍
Plus those grilled chicken look so darn good
Yeah but it was 4!
The chicken was delicious Becky
Nice 👍

That is great, thank you guys.
Your camera picked up the sky to be not too dark. What time of day does it actually get dark in your area?
That chicken looks appetizing.
greetingsHello @tengolotodo
Have a nice weekend. Best regards.🤗😘Friend @tengolotodo I really liked your photos, very nice sunset. The sky could not be more beautiful. Those trees without leaves also have their charm and in your photos even more. You know, the chicken looks appetizing but as here in Cuba I eat it so much it bores me. But grilled it is very good. I like the spiciness too, that spiciness in food is very tasty.
Why didn't the moon show up? It always does when you're having a walk.😛. Trees look beautiful in those silhouette.
