On a sunny Wednesday morning, I and a few friends quietly walked in the pine forest. It is a small pine forest in the foothills, located on the outskirts of Dalat city. I know this place also thanks to the predestined relationship with my sister. Going away from the hustle and bustle of Saigon for a while, I felt like I was recovering all my health after a hard time of shortness of breath.
As usual, in the early morning, after having breakfast, we will have our own time to sit and drink tea. Normally, the managing monk would take in charged of making tea, or the nun (my friend who go along with me and my sister) or I am allowed to sit and brew tea. There are many types of tea, but perhaps the most suitable tea for an early morning is red tea.
My health is slowly going down, and I think that I should have a small house, in a countryside, where the trees are cool, and be in harmony with nature.
The pine forest is of course same as everywhere, it is also a forest with thousands of pine trees, but this feature does not make us boring at all. The pine forest where I visited, was on the opposite side of the monastery, from which most of the town was visible. We walk, meditate, talk and tell each other interesting experiences about each other's lives. In that space, I feel like I can be myself, and the breathing in the fresh air like this is never available in the hectic city.
There are a few problems that I thought I would never find out a way to solve it, instead, thanks to a walk in the pine forest, I suddenly understood that the way to solve the problem is to identify itself, and because I assume it is the problem, then it will be the problem. When our mind is heavy, everything will gradually become heavier.
The cool breezes rushed into our faces, faintly smelling of turpentine, the smell of dry leaves of pine needles falling to the ground, the pure smell of sunlight, the smell of breath, where we turn back to our nature self, where we live under the maverlous nature without worries, without thinking.
Walking, walking is not only good for health but also good for the mind, if we don't have much time, then every morning we can walk 15- 30 minutes before starting a new day, right?
Have you tried yet? If not, try it once time ^^
