Hello Wednesday Walk! Let me start by extending a warm welcome to @tattoodjay. This is my first entry into the community of Wednesday Walk. For my walk today, I want to tell you everything. My first post is being written as I take in the ambiance of the port in the Kuala Pidie stopover area of Sigli city, Aceh Indonesia.
The discussion of the history of the relationship between Aceh and The Bugis cannot be separated from the discussion of the direction of trade in the archipelago in the early 15th century AD. Sigli City is the capital of Pidie Regency, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province, and is located in the East Sumatran Cross, specifically on the coast of the Malacca Strait. Ports have required transit areas as locations for bringing in capital and gathering goods since the ancient era of shipping and trade from the West and the Chinese state. Due to this, several ports in Kuala Pidie, including Kuala Pidie Port, serve as their stopover locations.
the environment at that moment in time, 03:00 WIB in the afternoon. When I took this photo, a container car carrying 3 KG of LPG gas was directly in front of me. At the time, the weather was clear where I was walking around in the center of Sigli. Since the capital serves as the city's heart, this.
Given how bright the sky is, walking during the day can be very tiring. 80 to 95% humidity until early afternoon in the morning. 24 to 30 °C is the temperature range. However, because of the recent erratic weather, the weather can occasionally change. because the transitional period or season has arrived.
We can see a monument called boh mulieng meilinju (aceh local language) when traveling along the Medan Banda Aceh route. Construction on the monument started in 2022 and will start to be finished in 2023. It is located right in the middle of the road on the border leading to Pidie Harbor. Valued at IDR 60.7 billion, the massive Aneuk Mulieng monument structure. The enormous monument will cost a lot of money to build. At the intersection of the Sigli City roundabout, the location is also very strategically placed.
Additionally, a number of vehicles were seen crossing the highway.
There is also a view of the green trees that are quite lovely and well-kept, and because of the green trees, the weather is quite shady during the day.
My walks that day did not end here, because that was not the goal. because I want to visit Kuala Pidie harbor, which is close to the Meulinjo monument and is in the center of Sigli. It only takes about 30 minutes if we walk on foot without a motorbike. The distance we are aiming for is, however, very close. If we travel by motorbike, it takes 7 minutes to arrive at the destination location, namely the port in the stopover area.
This is the atmosphere in the afternoon at the port in the stopover area. This place has been transformed by the local government, to become a harbor, especially in the afternoon. We can enjoy the afternoon atmosphere at this port in a relaxed manner, while looking at the view of the children playing at this port. This place has been used as a playground as well as a place for exercise in the afternoon.
Many young people, even parents who enjoy their afternoons in this place, playing and doing sports on roller skates. Because it is part of aerobic activity which is good for all ages. In this port I was enjoying the atmosphere of the afternoon until dusk.
Thank you very much for your attention and see you on our roads to come.
Thank You.
