I have not participated in Wednesday Walk for a long time.

Today afternoon I decided to walk up to the top of the Montaña Roja again. This is my fourth or fifth visit to the Montaña Roja since I first arrived on Tenerife (in the spring of 2023).

Montaña Roja is a 599 meters high mountain on South Tenerife.

It is beside the city of El Médano.

There is a road to the top of the mountain, so this mountain is easy-to-climb.

The weather today was mostly cloudy, and it was moderately windy on the top of the mountain.

Otherwise it was pleasant.

There were a few tourists, when I walked to the top of the mountain, but there was no crowd.

El Médano in the distance.

The road on the mountain from a closer look.

There is a nice view to the ocean too from the mountain.

There are multiple signs of danger of falling from a height on the top of the mountain.

As I currently remember, none of these signs had graffities on them the last time I visited Montaña Roja.

Some kind of storage. As I currently remember, this was not on the mountain the last time I visited the mountain, which was months ago. Currently I do not remember when.

But probably I will visit it again in the near future too.

Today I watched the sunset from the mountain.

The top of the mountain.

If you visit Tenerife, then I would gladly recommend to visit Montaña Roja at least once.

There is another mountain nearby, the Montaña Bocinegro, and there is a world war bunker there.

I would gladly recommend to visit that place too.

There are many good places nearby.

I took these photos with my Motorola Moto G22 (Android 12) smartphone.

I edited the photos in the Snapseed application (I added the HDR-scape filter with 50% filter strength, because many of the photos were too dark by default).

Thank you for coming with me on my Wednesday Walk.

On PC, they look good. I'm using Photoshop or PaintNet for editing.

such rugged yet amazing beautiful scenery and views

Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day

There is a rocky semi-desert in this area. It indeed has its own beauty.

Thank you.

Very beautiful

It is not far from the South Tenerife airport. You can easily visit it even by walking from there.
