Hello Hivers!
Have you ever experienced fishing? Or do you know how to go fishing? Because this is my first time doing it. This happened when we were on vacation in Pangasinan. We walked and left early in Mapandan, Pangasinan, where my sister in law's house is. Around 7 o'clock in the morning. Noel drives his car. Noah, Kuya Jhun's son, is also with us.
Coca Cola plant that we passed by at Calasiao Pangasinan.
S&R shopping mall. I haven"t tried shopping there yet.
The Regency hotel in Pangasinan.
I'm at the back seat of the driver. That's the place we were passing thru on signage.
When we arrived at Binmaley, Pangasinan, Mheng (my sister in law's wife of her brother) gave us a snack. Kuya Jhun (my sister in law's brother) mentioned that to his wife that we are going to visit, so she cooked stewed mussels for us. She also frying a tilapia fish she caught in the pond when we arrived.
This is their table, it's sturdy and looks antique. It's only available and seen in the provinces.
Behind that old house is the fish pond.
We rested for a while and then went to the fish pond. I saw that it was very close to their house. Those in the fish pond are tilapia and mudfish (dalag). Kuya Jhun has dug up worms to feed the fish. Only small fishes were caught because we were just at the front. If we were further away, the fish would be big.
I'll just tell you a little story. When I was in Dubai, I used to go fishing with my boyfriend and his workmates. But I didn't try it.
Back to my blog. I watched them first and then took photos and videos. My brother called me. Noel said I should try fishing. I did it too. Kuya Jhun was the one who put the worm on the fishing rod. At first I had a hard time. He said I should throw it far away, but it went close. And I was so happy when I caught a fish for the first time, lol. It's funny when I feel something moving on my fishing rod, a sign that there's a fish on it. Then I suddenly lift it up. After a while they saw that my hands were shaking haha. I had so much fun until I caught many fish and some were even bigger. Noel caught a big one too.
This is the big fish that Noel caught.
I'm so happy of this fish that I caught hehe.
Take a closer look, seems so big.
Lot's of tilapia (St. Peter fish) that we gathered on a washing tub.
We reached 1 o'clock in the afternoon. We laid it out on the tub and took a picture. They had a water well (poso) so we washed all the fish there. We had a snack and then went home.
We passed Robinsons Place on our way home.
Surrounded by water so there are many rivers in Pangasinan.
The sky was already overcast when we were on the road, it started raining when we reached home.
We enjoyed fishing, but have to pay the water bill. Due to the long queue, we were unable to pay. That's why my brother's wife Jocelyn got mad to Kuya Jhun. She said we should go home before lunch hehe. Fortunately, it was paid that day because it was already due date.
The next day I felt my skin hurt. It turned out I had sun burn because it was red. I thought I could only get sunburn at the beach, but I could also get sunburn at the fish pond. I didn't know I should have put on sunscreen. The fish we caught was dried in the sun (daing). Half of it was put in vinegar so we had a dish for dinner.
That's their life in the province. Just catch fish and you'll survive.
That’s all for today's #WednesdayWalk challenge initiated by @tattoodjay. Have a lovely day Hivers!

@zehn34 your post was nostalgic☺ I remembered my first time fishing. I was 15 years old and I caught only one fish for the entire one hour fishing 😂😂😂 while my siblings they got so many I cannot count. Fishing was fun ❤
I have never tried fishing, but I think it is an enjoyable activity. If you are lucky, you get a chance to bring a bountiful catch. Best of all, you had those fish for dinner. Heheh, so you got sunburned after fishing. It must be hot that day. You know what to wear next time you go fishing.
