Yesterday was my first working day in new coworking space. It is located 5 times more far from my home than our previous gloomy office, and walk is the only way to get there from my place, except of by car. So now I will walk much more every day. But I know that Wednesday Walk challengeMake Me Smile challenge) will still be my driver and motivation. 😉 initiated by @tattoodjay (and its collaboration with
So, now I will spend my days in new (for me) type of environment. Must admit that this one is really nice. They have an excellent coffee, 😇 besides Regus presents all around the world so now I can enter it in any city with my pass, though we almost gave up about travels and business trips because of pandemic restrictions.
Winter walks are are limited by duration of the daylight. When I finish my work it's usually too late for photography, except long exposure taken with tripod. To be honest, sometimes it's just too cold for it. 😬 Frost together with wind and high humidity make taking pictures quite challenging. That's why usually I wait for weekend. Especially for walks like this. 🙂 I intended to share these pictures a week ago, but was busy with other important things, but... better later, right?
I didn't find street art with White Mouse on the first try. All I knew was that it's somewhere at about 6 km long embankment of the Dneeper River. Somewhere it has 2 walking levels. But I enjoyed the process so I continued my investigation. This time, from the Metro Bridge.
The weather was nice and sunny, and I looked overdressed, but in winter the embankment is mostly in shadow, and the wind there is always strong. You can imagine my shock when I noticed a diver under the bridge! 😲 😱 He moved away before I turned the camera with my frozen fingers. It's crazy.
Because it was light, I dared to go down one level, actually it's below the nice and equipped walking promenade. And because my hubby was with me, also. 😊💪
These pictures were taken on another day and I put them here to give you an idea. It was renovated just a couple of years ago. As you can see, there are nowhere to sit and rest in shadow. So walking here is most comfortable in winter, because in summer stone and concrete is too hot, and no shadow. 😒
Steps lead to the lower "level".
This is how it looks. How good Nick is with me and the weather is sunny. Otherwise it would look too scary for me.
This embankment was built in 1930x together with the highway that stretches along the river. Made of granite and concrete, it was supposed to protect the highway from possible flooding.
I found that this parallel world is divided into separate sections. Connection between them is closed. I suppose this part was a quay, for docking boats. But I don't remember them here. Now it's abandoned.
As often happens, abandoned places became home for homeless, and training platform for street art begginer artists.
So many findings, but still no White Mouse. 🤔 Underworld ends here, and I go on. Though it's really cold.
Surprisingly, I found some recent pictures, and style is very different. I do hope you recognize these guys, right?
Some were so large that I should step back into the water to have enough angle for capturing them. No, of course I'm not that crazy! 😆
One more meaningless graffiti, and ...
Vitaliy Gideone, the creator of Big White Mouse that I'm looking for. I'm not so good in posing, so I choose the most simple one. 😐I'm getting closer. #Gide1 is nick of Kyiv street art artist
Well, I started somewhere from the middle, and this is almost its end. No luck so far, but this is where my stubbornness will bring me a profit.
Two more pictures just because I liked their colors on the gray granite of the quay.
Thank you for joining me on my walk. As always, I greatly appreciate your support and interaction 🤗
Stay warm and calm 😉 🤗
Cheers,
Yes, photos such as this collection are definitely better late than never!💯
Is the hallway photo from your new job? If so, when dod you start and congratulations!👏
I cannot begin to imagine being a diver in that chilly water even wearing a wetsuit. Yikes!
Love the street art especially with you in the photos modeling as our scale of size.
Upvoted and curated!Stay warm and keep safe! @zirochka
The hallway is from the place where we moved to. I had to postpone my searching for new job because first I had to resolve all my ... health issues. Things concerning current job are still not clear. Out big Town Hall is rescheduled for 3rd time, and hope it will be held today, finally, and we'll be told what is our future within the company. Finger crossed.
That was easy 😉 😁 🤣 Thank you so much and wish you a good day!

Actually that was a great tour of your home as you were able to show me the environment, architecture, history, pop culture and art all in one! 😃 and I really enjoyed it (not so much the cold though...(although since it's 35c here, it was nice to cool down for a minute..🤣..)
Wow +35! Yes, it's summer in your country 🏖
Appreciate your visit 🤗
Oh yes and though at 35c, that's actually still quite cool for us too...usually by now it's 40-45c...and I do love the heat, but I'll be happy with 30-35....🤣
