The miner has now been running for about two days now, with the exception of last night as I have been trying to expand my GPU stack and in the process of reattaching the cables failed to connect the power switch cable properly which led me to finaly throw in the towel for the night and head to bed.

I guess it isn’t any different from any other Monero (XMR) miners with the exception that it’s made to be a dead easy installment. Normally you are required to get over to github and download the latest version of the XMRig, which you need to download and install, easy enough, but you will most likely also need to confiugre it by going into the json file. That’s of course if your computer does not flag the download as a virus, which it inevitably will do, meaning that you will not actually be able to use the file unless you disarm your Windows Defender and other virus protection programs you may have in place. Once all of that is done, you should be clear to launch your XMRig miner and hope for the best. I haven’t been able to do it successfully on my computer. Windows is not very crypto miner download friendly.
The EO Finance platform makes the process of starting the miner effortless in comparison. You need to register with your email, or a google account. Verify your email, set up a password and 2 step verificaiton, all of which can be done after you’ve activated the miner and started drumming up your XMR.
You will need a wallet capable of accepting Monero, and there are a lot of choices. You could download the Monero wallet which is what I did, but it isn’t essential as you can safely store your mined XMR on the EO Finance wallet as well. You did, afterall, set up your password and 2 step verification. You can also transfer all of your mined Monero directly into any exchange that hosts a Monero wallet, with which most exchanges are equipped.
Monero Web miner
Initially you can begin mining directly on the website which is convenient enough, but I highly recommend simply downloading the miner directly onto your desktop and follow the simple installation instructions once downloaded. No further adjustments are necessary as the details will have already been completed online and the desktop miner is simply an extention of that connection. All the XMR mined on the desktop miner will be directly transferred to the online wallet, without any fees, which you can then convert to any other cryptocurrency available on the platform, or send it off the platform into your private wallets.

Clearly there are some fees involved in sending the balance off the EO Finance website, which can be offset by helping others discover this fantastic website and letting them in on some Monero mining as well.
