I've been thinking about the people who inhabit me. Many people who have passed through my life and who have loved me and whom I have loved, as well as those who did not.
He estado pensando en la gente que me habita. Muchas personas que han pasado por mi vida y que me han amado y a quienes he amado, así como también aquellas que no lo hicieron.
I believe that the people who inhabit me are vestiges of all those who in one way or another have influenced who I am now, they are reflections in the mirrors of my memory.
Creo que las personas que habitan en mi son vestigios de todas estas personas que de una u otra manera han influido en quien soy ahora, son reflejos en los espejos de mi memoria.
This is a small painting that I did a few weeks ago. It is actually the size of a postcard, and today I want to share it with you, as well as the process to create it. I made it on oil paper, in order to create a kind of postcard that I could send to someone I love who is far away.
Esta es una pintura muy pequeñita que hice hace algunas semanas, Es en realidad del tamaño de una postal, y hoy quiero compartirla con ustedes, al igual que el proceso para crearla. La hice en papel para óleos, con el fin de crear una especie de postal que pudiera enviarle a alguien a quien quiero y que se encuentra lejos.
But it didn't make much sense to share it with you without the other half, me. So I decided to take these photos. I don't normally share a lot of photos in which I appear. I avoid it, lol. But I think it is important that you know a little about me so that you understand in one way or another what I do, as well as what It makes you feel.
Pero no tenía mucho sentido compartirla con ustedes sin la otra mitad, yo. Por eso decidí tomarme estas fotos. Normalmente no comparto muchas fotos en las que aparezca. Lo evito, lol. Pero creo que es importante que conozcan un poco de mí para que entiendas de una u otra manera lo que hago, además de lo que les haga sentir.

The process
El proceso
This is the sketch. Something very simple. I like her full lips and a hint of a smile that goes with her. Here you can see that the hair is sketched, because at first I thought about painting it.
Este es el boceto. Algo muy sencillo. Me gustan sus labios carnosos y un esbozo de sonrisa que la acompaña. Acá ven que está bocetado el cabello, porque en un principio pensé en pintárselo.
First I painted the darkest parts and followed with the mid tones.
Primero pinté las partes más oscuras y seguí con los medios tonos.
I added the details on her lips, nose, and eyes.
And finally I painted her on a very dark background, where her hair and background are indistinguishable. The way I see her inside, only her face that barely smiles.
Agregué los detalles en sus labios, nariz y ojos.
Y finalmente la pinté en un fondo muy oscuro, donde su cabello y el fondo no se distinguen. Así como la veo en mi interior, solo su rostro que apenas sonrie.
