It is not because people didn't like it, It is because people have a hard time finding new users. New users are very restricted in what they can or can not do if they do not have any "Hive Power". An account needs at least 25 HP to have enough power for a post, about ten comments and some votes.
Best way to get started is after you make your first post, is to visit some other peoples content you like, (even if different than yours), and let them know via a vote and a comment. Over time you will find a lot of things/people you like and then some of them will find your post.

And if you ever get stuck on how to do something just drop a line any any of my post and if I can I will try to help. You may have noticed you have a Blog and a Post page. To make your Post show up on your Blog page you need to reblog your own post. (I know it makes no sense yet). To reblog on peakd click the three periods ... that will open a small menu and one choice will be Add To Blog, click it and it will be added to your accounts landing page. On Hive Blog intrface jusst click the ReBlog Icon.
