I like to work in different styles, here’s a few examples of my work, from much more detailed sketching to the simple chalk drawings I do around the local area in the same style as my abstract character paintings.
Hope you enjoy my work!
This is a painting I made whilst staying in an amazing building in Hackney wick. I used scrap wood I found at the site, the textured chipped surface adds an extra dimension to it.
You can see some of my chalk art (on the dryer days) around Hackney wick and my hometown of Westcliff on sea.
This is one of my sketches, I used to do them mostly for practice and fun, this one was made from a photograph I found online (don’t have the creators details but if I come across it again I will make sure to credit).
The inspiration for the chalk art came from doing these abstract character paintings. I make an abstract piece then draw out the characters I see within it. Working this way has often meant I would see characters in the shadows, on the pavement. So I was inspired to capture them with chalk and it’s one of my favourite things to do now!
