in OnChainArt8 months ago (edited)

I had always painted and illustrated on media such as paper, cardboard, canvas, but I received several commissions a while ago that were totally a CHALLENGE for me, since they were media in which I had not yet experimented, the same ones that I received to paint in each one of them what my client wanted, for the subsequent sale of her business.

On this occasion I painted Elegguá, on the inside of the shell of a coconut, the same one that my client provided me, and later I went to prepare what was going to be my support: First I cut it carefully so as to obtain two parts identical (one for this order and another for the next) I removed the irregularities by sanding a little, then I washed it, let it dry very well and applied the layers of white paint as a base and there I drew Elegguá, I continued to paint it, to finalize details and Finally, I sprayed spray or fixative to cure and protect the work done.

I loved doing it very much, I enjoyed it too much, which is why I was very excited about the next assignments of this nature because each one meant a new challenge and because the texture of the support was different.

I had never painted anything esoteric in what but I appreciate it very much because I discovered that I can and above all how exciting it is to paint in such imposing materials, each one within its properties 🥰
