Hello everyone! Today I bring you my second post about my work drawing the main character of the anime Kimetsu No Yaiba also known as Demon Slayer. To give you a brief approximation for those who don't know this anime, Tanjiro Kamado is a boy who tries to bring back humanity to his sister Nezuko who has turned into a demon after her family was killed by a demon.
In this illustration you can see my appreciation for this anime, although that does not explain why I have published it now, the reason why I have decided to publish it right now is because it is almost 2 years since the premiere of the anime and my illustration is only 20 days away from its first year.
Before starting to draw / Antes de empezar a dibujar
To start drawing it is really advisable to have our materials at our fingertips, that is to gather the materials we will use and place them in our work space, after having done this it is advisable to have our hands clean before starting.
The materials used to make this illustration are really easy to get, they are things that we use in our daily life.
Los materiales que se usaron para realizar esta ilustración sonn realmente fáciles de conseguir, son cosas que solemos usar en la cotidianidad.
- Sheet of paper
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Hoja de papel
- Lápiz
- Borrador
Step 1: Making a sketch / Paso 1: Realizar un boceto
The first thing to do is to make some geometric figures to structure the shape of the character, for example you can use an oval or circle for the face of the character, once this is done, having the guide of the geometric figures then we will begin to define the silhouette of the character. Keep in mind that the geometric figures are no longer necessary once the silhouette is achieved.
Step 2: Sketch shading / Paso 2: Sombreado del boceto
Having a well defined sketch, we start with the shading of it, you can start shading from any part, but I recommend you to start with the most important part of the sketch which in this case is the face of our character Tanjiro and move from there to the other parts, always taking into account the source of illumination or light.
NOTE: It is important before and during the drawing process to keep your hands clean so as not to dirty your drawing or your work area.
NOTA: Es importante antes y durante la realización del dibujo mantener las manos limpias para así no ensuciar nuestro dibujo ni nuestra area de trabajo.
Step 3: Final details / Paso 3: Detalles finales
Finally, to finish our work, we add those details that give a moving effect to the drawing as well as a more accentuated character or feeling. In our case we added small particles, in addition to light strokes that can be seen in the background of the illustration, thus giving it an effect of movement.
Congratulations!
¡Felicitaciones!
