Greetings, art enthusiasts! I hope you make the most of your day. Let me share the artwork I created today.

This painting powerfully captures a serene moment in nature. A heron stands solitary in shallow water, its reflection perfectly mirrored in the calm surface. Above, a bare branch, heavy with fallen leaves, arches gracefully, infusing the scene with a sense of autumnal introspection. The muted color palette and soft brushstrokes evoke an undeniable feeling of quiet contemplation. The overall effect is one of striking stillness, emphasizing the beauty of a simple yet profound scene. This painting commands the viewer to pause and fully appreciate the tranquility of the natural world.

I used three types of painting brushes for this piece, and it took me an hour to finish it. For those who are interested in trying this unique medium, you can follow the step-by-step basic methods below.

Materials Needed:
πŸ‘‰ Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
πŸ‘‰ Pencil and Eraser
πŸ‘‰ Coffee Powder
πŸ‘‰ 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
πŸ‘‰ Ruler
πŸ‘‰ Clean Water
πŸ‘‰ Rag
πŸ‘‰ Paper napkin or paper towel

Brushes:
πŸ‘‰ Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
πŸ‘‰ Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
πŸ‘‰ Filbert brush

Basic Procedure:
β€’ Outline or sketch your painting reference.
β€’ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
β€’ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
β€’ The same procedure with the foreground.
β€’ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
β€’ Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for the thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
