Art Journal: "A Serene Sunset" | Coffee Painting☕🖌️

in OnChainArt2 days ago

Hello, fellow art lovers! Today, I am excited to showcase a piece of artwork I've created using coffee powder as my medium, and I want to hear your thoughts on it.
This coffee painting vividly captures a tranquil moment at sunset. The rich tones of brown and beige establish a peaceful atmosphere, while the refined brushstrokes evoke a gentle breeze. A lone tree stands boldly silhouetted against the setting sun, its branches reaching confidently towards the sky. Several birds soar across the canvas, injecting movement into the scene. The reflection of the sun on the water casts a warm glow, further enhancing the serenity of this artwork. The unique texture and depth brought by the coffee medium make this piece truly captivating. The intentional simplicity of the composition and the subtle use of color establish this painting as a powerful representation of minimalist art.
I used three types of painting brushes for this piece, and it took me an hour to finish it. For those who are interested in trying this unique medium, you can follow the step-by-step basic methods below.

Brushes:

Basic Procedure:
• Outline or sketch your painting reference.
• Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
• On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
• The same procedure with the foreground.
• Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
• Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for the thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
