Art Journal: Lakeside Reflection | Coffee Painting β˜•πŸ–ŒοΈ

Hello, fellow art lovers! I hope this post finds you in good spirits. Today, I’m excited to share a piece of artwork I've created using coffee powder as my medium.

This coffee painting beautifully captures the warmth and tranquility of a golden hour sunset by a lake. The rich brown hues of the coffee evoke a sense of calm and serenity, reflecting the gentle light on the water's surface. Framing the scene are trees with leaves gracefully falling, surrounding a quiet bench that invites you to pause and imagine being part of this peaceful moment. The overall feeling of this piece is one of comforting beauty and quiet reflection. I hope it resonates with you as much as it does with me, and I look forward to your feedback!

I used three types of painting brushes for this piece and it took me an hour to finish it. For those who are interested in trying this unique medium, you can follow the basic methods below.

πŸ‘‰ Coffee Powder

Basic Procedure:
β€’ Outline or sketch your painting reference.
β€’ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
β€’ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
β€’ The same procedure with the foreground.
β€’ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
β€’ Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for the thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
