Good Day Guys!

I just wanted to share the recent artwork I finished. This was a commission artwork requested by a gunpla modeler called @gunplabro in YouTube.

This is for his KITCHAT segment on his YouTube Channel. Where he talks about kits in Twitter and then posts the discussion in his YouTube.

He provided me with the reference materials for the design he wanted and I made the initial line art above.

I made the initial thin lineart in Adobe Photoshop and I imported it in Adobe Illustrator to make it smoother and to make some changes as well, like making the lineart thicker.

This is what it looks like after I added the base colors for the artwork. I generally use the Live Paint tool to fill the cells with colors. It's kinda like most painting apps in mobile.

Next up is I added some decals or stickers on the shoulder as requested by the client. He asked me to add GPB on one shoulder because that stands for his username GunPlaBro. I also added more complexity to the base colors by adding lighter and darker toned colors in some cells.

This is the final look of the logo. After I added some shadows and highlights on it. I also added reflections on the aviator sunglasses and the camera lens at the top of the head. Made the outlines more prominent and changed a few colors here and there.

This completes the look of the commissioned artwork of the RX-78-2 Gundam for @GunplaBro's KITCHAT YouTube Segment.

Thanks for checking out my work!

Looks cracking mate! You've really got the hands right which is something I always struggle with.

I like the shadows and highlighting you've done and wonder how it would look with some cell shading (the inner shadow along edges you often see in cartoons and anime).

Couldn't resist an upvote for a Gundam :)
