Decentralization can be a beautiful mess that encourages innovation. Without a centralized entity directing innovation, it can cause some issues or delays in development of certain key projects especially if the community is not fully on board or aware of said projects.
Yes, very cool projects like @splinterlands, @threespeak and their developing Speak network, @leofinance, @exodegame and even @psyberx, who if they can simply come through on JUST their NFTs for their highly ambitious endeavor than IMO would still be very cool as NFTs might be a slick way to bypass Tax regulations as well as present amazing cross chain opportunities in the future.
https://ecoindiscuss.com/south-korea-financial-services-commission-says-nfts-are-taxable/
Here we see a Government in South Korea, where Hive has the most volume traded on Upbit, having a hard time figuring out how to tax NFTs. In America they have lofty regulatory ambitions that will be hard to achieve and they might have to focus on just stablecoin banking services/interest off of them, In game currencies, and sketchy defi products. We will see what happens in the next few months I suppose.
The move is somewhat controversial, as it seems to be a turnaround from the Financial Minister’s stance on the ‘safety’ of NFTs from taxation that he shared last month.
With @splinterlands leading the way for Hive blockchain based Cross-chain smart contract digital asset management for The Wax blockchain and various other chains as well as key funding from other blockchains that @aggroed beautifully organized for Splinterlands, I am sure it is a matter of time before cross chain digital asset management can happen for @nftshowroom and the amazing work @juliakponsford is doing. Truly, her and the team with NFTshowroom has done a spectacular job onboarding artists, maintaining them, pumping out high quality art for years now for The Hive Blockchain, managing the discord and now her very important trailblazing efforts in the Metaverse that is exposing Hive to the ETH consumer base in a very promising way.
What I love about NFTshowroom, is that their marketplace has ALOT of extremely talented artists who do High Quality work for, in my opinion cheap. With @hivepunks now combining the 8-bit world into the Hive eco-system with Julia and her team, surly the sky is limit right? Of course.
However, it seems we are not quite there yet and a bridge still needs to happen for Hive, in this case for the Cryptovoxels Metaverse: https://www.cryptovoxels.com/parcels/5179. Seems something as simple as offering an SWAP.ETH option there would be key but maybe also an easy way to create an Hive account too?
I am excited about what Julia is trying to do with the Metaverse and Hive. I want in so bad that I am willing to sell my Splinterlands cards in order to get a parcel so that I can promote Hive and the NFTs I collect from NFTshowroom https://nftshowroom.com/dynamicgreentk/gallery, despite losing the unrealized gains and sps airdrops from selling my Splinterlands cards. https://peakmonsters.com/packages- @dynamicgreentk.
Is there a secret project to implement cross chain digital asset management with Hive and other chains outside of just Splinterlands? @ausbitbank, @dlux-io, @mahdiyari @therealwolf @gtg
Without tagging all the witnesses I simply tagged a few that came to mind when thinking about Hive's key developers who might be able to give some insight to this matter and if there is something already in the works with other Metaverses and Hive before I go full Ham with Cryptovoxels in order to follow Julia's lead into the Metaverse with Hive NFT artists.
Thanks for making it this far in my post!
dlux.io has been in the metaverse for quite a while. releasing it's world builder the day before Decentraland released theirs. Now with the addition of NFTs DLUX is better suited than ever to be a key player in the metaverse space. You can check out whats possible already here - Music Photography (VR Gallery) by @bil.prag
Ok, I just briefly tried that metaverse of yours and seems that it is still being developed. Just got lost and really dizzy trying to find a way out of the music room which seems impossible. I do like certain aspects. Being a Las Vegas Union Tradeshow lighting guy for 18 years, the way you can walk into the space reminds me of expo spaces in real life.
Just not intuitive currently especially with trying to find a way out of space and it is not clear how to purchase art or with what currencies etc.
It's 100% user defined. I think he did a great job of showcasing the art. You can make clickable links that direct you to buy NFTs or anything along those lines, it's just a matter of making your use case. At the end of the day DLUX is a dApp distribution paradigm... and those dApps can be VR or XR experiences.
Ok, I see where you are going with this. This is a very exciting and promising project for Hive if this is simply the beginning and not an end product! Any Oculus plans? jk but would kind of be cool to bridge the facebook web2 normies to Hive in order to free their minds... I can already feel some legacy hodlers from the steem days cringing lolz
You can load these VR apps in the oculus browser ;)
Hey man any updates to this?
