A couple of days ago i posted about the original artwork Look Into These Eyes, an artwork which people seemed to like very much.
I did not only post about this on hive, but also on other socials, and trough one of those posts i got contacted by a couple which asked me if i could come over to their place to meet Ditto, their new kitten
They wanted me to come over and meet their cat, because they wanted me to create something similar piece of art as ‘look into these eyes’ but then with ‘Ditto’
I was not very eager to do this
Especially because i work worldwide, i do not do any house calls or visits, therefore I work with the picture materials which i get provided.
And that works quite good for me, and because i’m kind of a hermit, i do not feel like leaving the comfort of my own home, so i needed some pursuance from their side.
but after we mailed a little, it seemed that this family is not living so very far away from me, So, i stepped out of my comfort zone, and i went over there ...
I shot a set of pictures that i would as a base to work with.
Ditto is a very easily distracted lil kitten, and also not so very photogenic, but it is always nice to have kittens around you. Their lil bundles of energy and joy
- My process was about the same way as with the other artwork, first i painted away the background of the cat
Then i started filtering, but it did not work out, the couple that made the order, were not happy, because the eyes did not catches as much attention as with the original artwork i created several weeks ago, so i thought fuck all, i’ll also remove ditto’s face, but keep a little The shape of the head intact intact
Then all i needed was to zoom in, and cut
- That already looked a lot better, so now it was time for me to start up my other programs, and start messing around with filters, color gradients and more.
These are the results ....
- This is the dark version, which i personally like a whole lot
- And the purple/blue version, which will fit the color of the wall where this picture is supposed to be placed perfectly
